All the positioning with the Tanks, variety in the TvT matchup in general, and fast paced ling, bling, muta used to be awesome to watch. Zerg should feel that way 
Yup, TvZ muta ling bling v marine tank (DRG v MMA and Leenock v Jjakji) was legendary. Comparable to the best games of BW. SC2 had so much potential.

I never followed BW professional, purely because I didn't know about it. But I'm reluctant to view any of it now, one of the reasons being that SC2 is the only way I know. So if I go back and see that BW actually outclasses it in every way I'll be sad :/

Sorry to break it for you, but there is a huge skill gap between killer and Rain. And by the way, he doesn't. He plays 3 base agressive to hit pre-hive timings. Almost every single game. I don't know what Rain are you watching, but one that can play however the fuck he wants against killer because he is so much better is not like "different PvZ".

they aren't anything alike, Rain just does 3 base all ins arguably the best (Only Creator can rival him in this field), Hero tends to aim for more of the late game and Mothership

Yea, Hero does it when he has advantage so he could afford to play fancy but Rain play like all of that is part of his game plan which is pretty damn effective.
