Lucifron wins 2-0, same as WCS EU, Lowely didn't even come close to beating him, completely different level.

RO16 opponent either Vibe or his brother VortiX, I'll cry if he loses to VortiX again...

Regarding _if_ Stephano threw: Giving up one out of two chances to advance is idiotic, no matter how much of a sure thing he and everyone else thinks beating HerO might be. Nothing is a sure thing.

This right here.

If it was a situation where he had already advanced, and it was just seeding on the line (aka korean badminton players @ olympics) then maybe I could understand bringing out the conspiracy theories. But to suggest it with the current situation is ludicrous.

Except... it's not always the case.

If (for example) Stephano had to play Rain if he won, but he played Levin, and then Insur if he lost... it would be easier for him.

Can you stop? keep this an LR and enough with "possibilities" and conspiracies.

I don't know why you are telling me to stop. I'm bringing up logical points, and people are responding to them... keeping the discussion going. I suppose it is just that my side of the argument is a bit more difficult for people to swallow so they get defensive.

If no one acted like they KNEW Stephano had NO CHANCE of throwing the games, then I promise I wouldn't be making these posts. It just personally seems ridiculous to me that people feel that way... just as some people feel it is ridiculous that I think there is a reasonable possibility. Two different perspectives, and I just want to see if anyone can actually use logic rather than speculation to support their argument. It hasn't happened yet.

But you asked nicely so I will stop.

"keep this an LR"

Most posts in LR threads aren't actually LR, so that doesn't really..... ahh nevermind. Have a good night. I didn't mean to upset anyone... I just wanted to be realistic and hope that others wouldn't act so oblivious.

Yeah, because I mean that all-in had everything for it to go very well, 3 base versus 2. No scouting until last second about it. Destructible rocks wasn't even down. Yet after the push the supply was 120 to 60, lol.

No, he didn't know.

He did not until he saw the probe+the pylon placed. he was droning and going for a 4th...

Ugh... this is just frustrating. I am not saying Stephano threw the games, but it frustrates me to see people who say that they KNOW he did, and also people acting like it isn't a possibility whatsoever.

Stephano HAS TRIED TO THROW GAMES IN THE PAST!!! Why can't everyone just accept the fact that he may have, and also accept the fact that they don't know if he actually did it. It would be so much more sensible..........

Actually, the sensible thing to do is to assume both players played their best.

Then Stephano sure has gotten a lot worse lately

His ZvZ was never as good as his ZvP or ZvT.

I've never seen him play ZvZ this poorly, in game 2 he just threw away infestor energy and units on nothing, several times he split his army in two, attacking with only half of his units

I have. I've also seen him play terribly in his other matchups. Players make mistakes, it happens to the best of them. Before today I've never seen Rain played PvP completely mediocre, but it happens.

To suggest Stephano is throwing games is absurd.

Hardly absurd, Stephano has a lot to gain from throwing the game, not only will he not have to face Rain who is a beast in PvZ his teammate also gets through to the next round. He will have to play Hero again but wouldn't he rather play Hero then BBK rather than Rain?

And Idra's PvZ is absolutely horrid. Idra would have more to gain by throwing this series, yet he won on absolutely back-to-back crushing performances over RoRo and Stephano.

Also, you're downplaying Stephano's amazing PvZ. We just saw how vulnerable Rain is in his supposedly godly PvP. Stephano can give him a run for his money if they were to play. Again, no player would risk throwing games and then NOT even making it out of the group. Anything can happen. It's too risky to even try.

also I doubt Idra would ever throw a game.

Important: throw a game INTENTIONALLY. I can think of a lot of games he threw by mistake.

Hallucinations, anyone?

#1 Sen scouted the probe
#2 Sen already had 74 drones. Its normal to start building roaches at that mark.

11 minute all in with 6 zealots and 6 stalkers is not a good build.

He sniffed it out only when Grubby made a pylon under his OL.

However, Grubby failed to hit his timing. Sen was already making units because he was at 77 drones and didn't need another round of them. So when he did sniff it out, he just abandoned making a fourth and went straight to units.

It was a standard defense from that moment on, though I think Sen sacrificed a dozen drones that he didn't need to to zealots.

Lowely vs Lucifron - Game Two - Antiga Shipyard

Lowely decided he would go for a peculiar two base all-in, slowly sending two queens across the map to assist his roaches for a fast attack. However, good micro from Lucifron on the defensive end allowed him to fend off the attack losing minimal SCVs, after which his cloaked banshees did a number on Lowely's economy to force the GG.
AdministratorHey HP can you redo everything youve ever done because i have a small complaint?
