It's not about the money lol (unlike most SC2 pros Rain actually gets a salary). There's also this thing called exposure... and Rain did great imo. Making himself known more in the west.

I don't know how people can keep missing the point that it was purely political.

MLG has a partnership with them whereas GOM and KeSPA have been bunting heads since day 1.

It was never about the money. The prize money acts as a bonus if he did get far.

Good games, but yet it fails to give excitement due to lackluster casting performance and bad camera angling... Also the analyst guy needs to up his game. What he said we already knew.. Also only reason people is somewhat excited is cause of flash.. Who. lets face it, got 2 games thrown at him. The analysator failed to see that? the commentators etc etc.. should really sop trying to present the game in a way that is not.. Like TB saying "how on earth did flash do that.. only flash can".. and all viewers knew it was the donation of infestors. just PLEASE stop putting make up on the games. I think another thing to neglect is that Flash's macro was insane. Life would fungal and kill half his army and Flash would come roaring back with another supply lead push -- combined with his management of Life's fringe expansions. Even if he only had 8 marines and a tank left he'd still push and wait for reinforcements. It could have been played better by Life, but that was just solid, classic pushing by Flash.

Life had no chance with that unit comp he had vs marine/tank/rauder that was controlling the middle of the map. Needed BLs to help break that center control.

My take at this point is that Flash's vaunted multitasking skills are indeed scary. He has impeccable marine control and small-group movement and he can engage in an unbelievable number of different attacks at once. His biggest weaknesses IMO are that he does not deny scouting or cloak well, particularly when it comes to observers, and that he's late on his tech switches, both of which perhaps are due to his reliance on his god-like response times. In short, he can be surprised and his composition isn't good enough to make up for it.
