Congrats to MKP! Dimaga so close again.

Good for the tournament that every series in the Knockout Stages came down to the Final match.

It was pretty clear why. MKP was doing ridiculously abusive econ openings and they deserved to be punished. Can't believe people are blaming Dimaga for this, when it is MKP's play that prompted it, and it is a perfectly legitimate strat in a bo5. You play to win. It is just sad that he messed up his execution in the last 2 games.

You're saying CC first is an abusive econ opening?
MKP, Taeja, Flash, and MVP would all like words with you.

Edit: Dimaga could easily have done an "abusive" econ opening himself, opening 3 hatch before pool. His fault for being predictable/sloppy with his counter build

If you do it >80% of the time in series without scout and put it on low-ground, then yes I would call that abusive. If you do it sometimes, or with scout, or as part of a wall-in, then not so much. Sure dimaga could have gone 3 hatch before pool, but why should he? It is also abusive (even more so), and isn't nearly as good a counter to MKP's strat as a well-executed 6pool is.

EDIT: And dimaga appararently wasn't predictable with his counter build as MKP failed to account for it in all 3 cases. He just had decent reactions once it was revealed and Dimaga failed to execute correctly.

Well, I really feel sorry for DIMAGA . He is capable of beating MKP and with game 2 he showed that and I don't know what's going in his head right now and why he decided to do the same strategy for 3rd time (even tho he knows that MKP is going CC first on low ground) .

Anyway, I want to thank Millenium, for hosting this awesome tournament (8 players, but so many big names nevertheless) - there were some great games and made my weekend way more entertaining . The casting from ToD was also on a very good level, I like the idea co-casting with the players . The breaks were also entertaining (especially the dancing part ). And the quality of the stream (for free) was so good .

So, for all above, I THANK YOU !

And DIMAGA - keep up the good play, you will have more tournaments in front of you and will win some of them for sure, if you keep improving .

Agree completely with this. Really enjoyable little tournament with some great games all around. Cool to see Dimaga doing so well. Especially enjoyed the commentary by Tod and Goswser, but all the (English) commentators were great. There was probably a little too much downtime, and it was a bit annoying not to have instant vods, but I understand that the Dailymotion platform may make that a little hard, and it was not really a huge deal.

Actully the only reason for going 6 pool instead of 3 hatch before pool is cause Dimaga can't beat MKP in a macro game and he knows that aswell.

Mech is a totally different thing than Bio, and roach drops counters hellion/tank mech pretty well, there is no timer on the roaches.

I was a bit sad that I didn't get to see the good ol' Dimaga baneling bust.. 50000 banelings at the 10 minute mark just walks into the terran base..

I have the feeling you are trying to make a point, but what is it? Please don't go back to this fallacy that outmacro'ing your opponent is magically better than beating him in other ways. Early agression is just as much part of SC2 as macro. Do you also complain about everyone who attacks his opponent when the opponent goes triple expand before barracks/gateway/spawning pool?

Let us just for a moment say that was the case. Then MKP is completely retarded for going for CC first on low ground which he knows is punishable by a correctly executed 6-7 pool. Why not go for a safer opening (say 1rax expand) and go into mid-late game with a potential slight disadvantage? That would give him a 100% win percentage vs Dimaga.

I somehow feel you didn't watch game 2 or the games yesterday vs goswser. Or any MKP TvZ the last couple of months.
