1. event was not hyped up in advance at all 2. no terrans 3. results are mostly predictable, koreans will dominate and there will be a lot of PvP 4. stream issues turning off viewers 5. awful streaming times for eu and pretty bad for west coast NA too it's a bad time everywhere in NA right now lol

and #6, an event not named GSL with no foreigners. not exactly the most popular type of event.
well I shouldn't say " foreigners "
more like " white guys "
but that's what people mean when they say foreigners anyway
to most people Chinese and Taiwanese players are just like Koreans, but less good.

Yup, the only international crowd you're going to catch with an Asian event is some Europeans for your final games.
Just unfortunate for all of us that the WCS Finals will be held in China as well.

As someone who has basically only loosely been watching this event I can tell you even knowing that I should be watching more PvPs just to see some possible late game strats I cant bring myself to do it. It has all the weaknesses of mech vs mech in TvT without any of the things that make it fun and so I will just settle on watching VoDs of any major game I missed.

artosis keeps thinking squirtle has bad micro and parting has good micro for some reason

I just hope blizzard look at this event and learn from everything for the world finals.
I don't see the numbers for the world finals being bigger than EU tho with the time zone.

no seed or squirtle

Argh, thats bad. Going to miss sooo many games. Well, maybe there is VOD:s but they arent that much fun.

Whether the tournament is fun to watch from a sheer game-play viewpoint, I'm enjoying the shit out of this right now because of the extreme amount of analysis we receive from Grubby in all of these PvPs :D
God I love this so much.

HerO played well with the mind games in beginning of the game just over-extended and had a bad fight when he targeted the immortal

I don't think viewer numbers for WCS EU have any chance of being topped if the event is going to run at the same times as this one.

Since I tuned in less than an hour ago 1k+ more viewers has joined... I don't think this is too unpopular... It's just a terrible time for most europeans and americans.
Sure, more westerners would've been great But I would still watch it just for the koreans

I really don't get why Blizzard wants to hold the finals in China. Seeing the crowd, and viewers numbers it looks like the really wrong place for it.
