Besides, there is nothing wrong with saying what he did. They players have to stand up for themselves, and call bullshit when they see it. It can't be that only the Stephanos and Naniwas of the scene are allowed to say what they think.

Oh, on the topic of specifically targeting LSC, I agree. It only really works if we talk in the abstract. We don't know about issues like scheduling and time constraints and so it's hard to blame LSC for anything. Rather, a tip of the hat for putting together a great roster!

The other would be too difficult to qualify from, especially since it requires you to knock out hordes of good korean players. I'm pretty sure at least half the players in lsc2 wouldn't be able to qualify, no offense to any of them. Thus its unfair to say that he can't complain about lsc2 just because it has "qualifiers". At the moment most invite tournaments do not offer any qualifiers. Offering two qualifier spots is not ideal but it's a step in the right direction for invite tournaments. The CSL qualifier shouldn't count as a spot, considering how restrictive it is. LSC2 essentially only has 1 open qualifier for the majority of pro players. It may be a step in the right direction, but it still shouldn't be used as a rationale to invalidate gosu's complaint. Also i question the validity of your statement that most invite tournaments don't offer qualifiers, at the very least for tournaments with prize pools as high as LSC2, most do. Ironsquid MLG IPL NASL GSL Those are the ones that i can think of on that top of my head that contain some components of both invite and qualification based systems for selecting participants.

I also think he overrates himself quite a bit and so do some of you, but i'd be more than willing to take that back if he shows some good results in tournaments. i do agree that doing that is kind of hard as an upcoming player because of the current focus on invite tournaments though. At the very least he would beat QXC and Tod and is comparable to sheth, ret, major, hawk, Thorzain and babyknight. He may not be the best player here, but honestly if skill was the only determinant there's no real reason to invite qxc and tod over him. I think instead of flaming him for qqing, we need to give real reasons for why he wasn't invited. The bottom line is he would not generate as much interest as some of the other, lesser skilled players. E-sports is ultimately a business, and Tespa needs to make money. If all they cared about was skill, they would only invite Koreans for this tournament.

He's already beaten tod, qxc, and thorzain at mlg Dallas. Also im pretty sure he's outclassing tod and qxc, both through skill and the fact that he is a zerg player.
