I'd call that surprising. 2-0 loss is a bit surprising but honestly I don't see Baby winning the series as a big upset. That's because STC has gone full Korean on foreigner team mode. He was never a great player, but he used to be better than what he has shown lately. His performance has really dropped, like most Koreans who join foreign teams. This rule applies to all teams. TL is the exception. Oh I see...that's why I see Taeja and hero in the gsl ro16. Yep, makes sense to me. So you think Taeja and Hero were doing better before they joined TL than they did after joining? Yeah, I see...

I am not sure about that. If you look at his sc2earnings, he placings after joining Quantic matches up pretty well with when he was with oGs.

Nah, but it might be why Taeja carried TL through IPLTAC and was in the semis last season... Get real, you can't always get through the ro32.

TL is the exception. Probably gonna sound like EG dick sucking, but JYP has improved demonstrably since joining EG, and while Puma has dropped off, he spent a year hearing going HAM on everyone, so I don't know if thats quite true. Also, Zenio. MC also stayed fairly succesful, Violet ist also an example. So there isn't really a pattern I think. Violet is odd it's not really foreign team as much as it was USA USA USA that randomly turned violet into the next zerg bonjwa.

Can I just say I wish they had better mics, they aren't awful and I am nit picking but they peak out so easily, and there is that buzzing in the back.

By chance, does anybody know if TB has worked/trained for radio performances? His voice is really good and he hardly ever messes up with his mic position, but he doesn't seem quite as comfortable in front of a camera (uncertain gestures, pose/angle, etc).

Sounds like Day9 is saying Huk when he says Hawk.

Huh? Puma did alright for a year before fading into obscurity recently. So did Hero on TL. Taeja kicked balls until recently same as all Terrans. Violet blossomed after he left Korea. STC was alright, I don't think this tournament is really all that indicative. Crank doing alright so far, although no idea of his skill since he never had much airtime. MC as always, placing within the top slots.
Is it accepted that most Koreans go bad after joining foreign tourneys? Ganzi may not have had recent results but who else?
