Yay! Taeja fighting. Also MKP for the win even though I think Life will take it with ease

how else are you supposed to determine balance? haha

its incredibly hard to do determain balance. you need serious in depth game/replay analysis

Stats are affected by player strength, and if a player is better, they will go further in a tournament so they will affect the stats more than any other player. if MVP goes 16-0 and wins the GSL, terran will probably be favored that month in the match up, doesnt mean its imba, just means MVP is the best player.

Long-term statistics are not affected by this

regression towards the mean, with a large enough sample size you should be able to. 16 games will be but a drop in the pool compared to the hundreds of games played (not on whirlwind yet, but in total)

yes but long term statistics dont take into account meta game shifts (which can change balance) nor patches. If you look at a 3 month period, it could have been T favored first month, zerg favored 2nd month, and balacned third month, so stats say 50% the whole time. Seriously, stats mean nothing

Yes it is...
It pains me so much when people say stuff like this. Cheese isn't a bad thing. Every pro player does and should do it from time to time.

Leenock shouldn't have any problems with Antiga. he expands later and just pushes with hive anyways. He definately doesn't play as if he needs a fourth instantly like some zergs do. Stephano plays quite similar in that regard actually.

9:00
Leenock constantly scouting with a few lings, even taking out an SCV. Hellion harass gets shut down by queen, lings, and buildings.

9:30
Banshee harass starts, taking down a queen, but loses the banshee. Leenock making many units, ready for a baneling bust.

they're still the best thing we have for determining balance, i see no other way to reliably determine balance, unless we have a pro who is equally top KR GM in all races and is unbiased.

It's a reactionary all-in. Not the same thing as cheese. There's recently been lot of these "cheese" claims on builds that have nothing to do with the word.
