This is quite a large prizepool for a HotS beta tournament.
I can totally understand why all the medium-sized tournament organizers are trying to innovate and use HotS before the beta is over, but imo it is still a bit early, the beta is barely a month old.

Regardless, its great to see these tournaments continue. The stability and continuity by GIGABYTE the sponsor and the organizers from mystarcraft.de is spectacular.

and again the community is out beforehand due to invites. even if hots is a "new" game.. I don't understand why there is no real tournament with real money..

I hope this time invited players are actually familiar with the latest HotS version.
Would be ashame to see someone trying to build warhounds.

I can't even understand the point you're trying to get across. Do you mean no "real tournament" as in no Blizzard-sponsored tournament?

sry truely bad english there!! This is just something that bothers me all the time. Invites are killing this "esport". I just don't get it why people do invite only tournaments at the very beginning of a "nearly" new game. For real, who knows how good they are really? Don't you think there are already other players out there that got a good idea bout hots? That's what I intentially wanted to say. Sorry for misunderstanding.

Well it takes time and effort to run qualifiers esp over multiple servers. I think this is a great little tourny and I will def tune in. Whoever wondered who Tarrantius is I just looked him up. He is a german player from Alien Invasion and he took down a tourny last month beating Daisy, Bly and Strelok on his way.

If a game needs balancing by high level players then the best environment to do it are tourneys, especially ones with a prize pool. It doesn't really matters if they are fun to watch because they are helping the game in the end. The more tourney we get now, the less GSL and MLG it will take for Blizzard to realize something is wrong.

There wasn't any of those mini-tourneys or invites in the WoL beta. The only "serious" tourneys we had were near the end...
I don't know whether we had more tourneys at that time WoL would have been better, but if HotS beta is as long as the WoL one with the current environement, the should be way more refined than WoL on release.

I'm getting some heavy lag (only video, audio is fine) on Khaldor's stream other streams are fine.

Edit : Weirdly the lag is less severe on max quality but it's still pretty bad :/

That's true. Although the last hots tournament I watch some of the players hadn't even installed the game, and no one really used the new units. :D

We'll get there. ^^
