To be perfectly honest: I completely agree with you. Just worded myself differently to not turn this thread into another "OMG NOT UNTILL HE PLAYS IN GSL!" As of now I'd only put Curious as his possible equal.

Well I am a DRG fan, but thats not the reason. The eSF players got me into Starcraft and they are the players I started loving in the game. So for me I always root for them. Also we complain about faceless koreans making things boring, but I think Kespa players (with exceptions obviously) are the most boring. Its just personal preference.

i think it's good at 1-2 kespa are already competitive, it draws their fans into the games and can only help us grow SC2 as a scene (so long as kespa doesn't try to outmuscle everyone). there's only really very few kespa players who are S-level, the rest are still struggling to break it deep

The only thing that stops Stephano on a foreign tourney, are Korean zergs. Anyways GSL format and weekend tourney format are really different, and they don't really HAVE to translate to each other (for example, weekend are way more about stamina, being relaxed and not going full emotional on your games, which are some of Stephano's merits).

And the money stuff is just stupid. Korean plays GSL, not much room for foreign tourneys there

Agreed. Stephano is really an anomaly. Remove him from the equation, and foreigner Zerg looks almost as far behind as foreigner Protoss. Foreigner Terrran on the other hand is way behind the other two though.


I beg to differ... There much more foreign zergs that are actually worth mentioning.

Just WCS Europe showed this, +1 in Vortix...

I was really only talking about Stephano and Vortix when I meant top foreign Zerg, and of course ... DIMAGA!

You know winning the most money doesn't make you the best player in the world. Stephano has access to a lot of tournaments that top Korean Zergs don't. Pretty sure if DRG spent all his time playing in foreign tournaments instead of GSL/GSTL/OSL, he could make just as much if not more money.
