That was quite a convincing series win by Nerchio! Well done to him.

The overlord saw a cc first at some point, before the roach warren went down I believe, so while he was possibly going to all in in some way anyway, he was sure of what the build was from the scout. That is 100% the GREEDIEST standard build it's possible to go in SC2. There is no greedier terran build that exists and is ever used. Doesn't matter what has happened, if it's potentially the final game in a finals, you don't go for 100% the greediest build which exists...

Ah well, we'll never know and don't get me wrong, mindgames, knowledge and Nerchio is damn skilled. He is and proved himself offline often enough, also forgg was kinda predictable. First game, he blind countered what forgg always does, second game he hoped forgg wouldn't think nerchio does it again, 3rd game he obviously had to change it up but forgg was afraid and didn't go cc first and now the finishing blow in game 4. Sick mind games imo but ofcourse also a lot of luck and lack of scouting from forgg.

People will stay cheat for a 100% chance of winning money when they have a chance to lose, small or not. This is increased when they have almost zero chance of getting caught. Not saying Nerchio cheated, just saying that this is a bad excuse. Also, ForGG almost always opens up with 1base Hellion/Banshee TvZ intro triple CC.

 - CC first with gas - directly into reactor hellion with SKIPPING the marine - no scv scout - no wall-in / (not destroying collapsable rocks) .. uhm what kind of build is that? In my eyes thats a "rush me pls"-invitation-build.

It's just when someone is hardcountering that often online for years it is suspicious. Nothing more, nothing less. A 5 minute delay wouldn't hurt, it's a lot of money. gz Nerchio. Proven again to be one of the best Zergs around. edit: ForGG should learn to scout.

The HotS unit usage was indeed rather low but I still think that it will get better with time - unfortunately in many cases a real revolutionary example will be required. Hopefully we'll get another tournament when next few patches invalidate everything learned today.

jk but both players had a great run, forGG was almost perfect 2-0'd everyone until the finals. I'm happy for both since they are good players but disappointed that we didn't see a lot of hots units. A bit sad for forGG tho,he always do good but never first place,KONG.
