Teamtaeja?

Its an allkill format and Taeja is clearly the best player of both teams.
For second best, you could make arguments for HerO or Stephano.
EG has more topclass depth, but for an allkill format, it doesnt look too bad for TL.

Lol at Hero being better or even equal to Stephano...

I would like to draw your attention to the right sidebar of this website, specifically the part with top 5 Elo ranks. No, not the left one, the relevant one.

I would like to draw your attention to something relevant(which ELO isn't): placement in tournaments they both entered...and in more than 90% of the cases, it's hugely in Stephano's favor.

I'd like to draw your attention to http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_Global_StarCraft_II_League_Season_4/Code_S#Group_Stage_.28Ro32.29.
You know, the hardest competition in the world?
Now go look at group B and group E.
Now if you're feeling rather gutsy, I'd like to draw your attention to this spoiler for recent GSL results.

Yeah, i clicked on the link to find what was Stephano's placement in that tournament, but i couldn't find him sorry.
And Symbol has been on a slump and Naniwa has had better results in GSL code S than Hero(GSL rankings)...Now, if you believe that Naniwa is better than Stephano...

The most recent major tournament they've both played in ended up fairly evenly: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_MLG_Pro_Circuit/Summer/Championship

edit: with a fair edge to hero

edit2: Stephano is an amazing player, of course, I just don't understand you can argue he is far and away better than hero--almost no player in the world is.

Stephano doesn't play in the GSL which is pretty much the main reason there are a large group of people like me who doubt his ability. As for results in tournaments where both Taeja, Hero and Stephano were present, someone already linked the most recent MLG in which both Liquid players placed higher. Mind you, Hero was actually knocked out from a team kill by Taeja himself.

Taeja - 3rd
Hero - 5th
Stephano - 9th

Well, great entertaining comin' , of course Liquid is likely to win...
I think they made a mystake though, sending Zenio at first, because he won't be able to snipe Stephano if Stephano is in a great shape.
EG is really the outsider there that's why i'll be cheering for them.

Make that a slight edge, and only because Stephano's managed to take some wins off of him during the worst PvZ period in Hero's career, and it would be a reasonable estimation. Besides, it wasn't a head-to-head argument as they may not end up playing each other anyway.

Fair enough, I was just disappointed with whipping out korean ELO for comparison, I thought there was a gentlemen's agreement that ELO really doesn't mean anything in SC2.

Should we rip apart every tournament while we're at it?

Because I could. ._.

Seriously just enjoy the matches. -_-

Well the most recent one was MLG Summer where both HerO and TaeJa placed higher than Stephano, but I know what you mean regarding HerO. TaeJa is a whole other beast though.
