Were people accusing First of hacking or something? Game 4 of the finals, First vs Leenock. Metropolis. Leenock goes for a zergling + nydus all in, The observer is looking somewhere else and First slips a probe in and scouts the nydus. Leenock instantly GG's because he's too far behind after cutting drones to build 30+ lings at 7 mins into the game. Is there a guide to this build?

Good decision to crack down on the LoL prize sharers. personally I would be glad if they would get a nice one year ban from MLG's, too, just to show them who's boss and that the rules have to be respected. I think the punishment is severe enough, if they were fixing to get specific seedings and stuff I think it'd be more concerning. They got off easy, Smash players got banned for this stuff.

Hope he gets a sick contract to go with that award.

Grats to Leenock for winning MLG! Also grats to Crank for making such a good run

Wait can somebody link me to/explain what the LoL thing was?

The two finals teams dignitas and curse made were overheard by SirScoots agreeing to split the money, scoots reported it to mlg who investigated it during the finals and decided to disqualify them of all money and circuit points earned by it (Imagine GSL point for all of LoL)

No you don't ;D

Not only that, but apparently they weren't playing the finals properly, they all played random and all went in the middle lane. It's like if First and Leenock both played random and did stupid nonsensical builds. They didn't even try to hide what they were doing.

Huh, gotcha. Thanks! This is pretty disappointing to hear about though.

That was unrelated, it's not really justified to do anything besides tell their managers to shout at them after the event the aram was stupid and shouldn't be allowed but it's too isolated and minor but agreeing before hand to split the money is unacceptable.

When does replay pack come out?

Anywhere from a few weeks to never, judging by past MLG's.

Oh if MLG reads this thread: nice tournament, at least compared with IPL tac you definitely beat them this time around so to speak, production value was fantastic. My only complaint is not being able to watch 1080P on my crappy college wifi (2 mbps down X.X)... that is TOTALLY y'alls fault!!
Anyways, can't wait for the next round of MLG's!

HEY before you post angrily First's probe walked into main and saw the Nydus going up as well as the lack of natural. Leenock's build relied COMPLETELY on not letting that happen.
Missed all the games, what's this about?

holy crap, the top 3 are all koreans. And there are only 2 foreigners in the top 16. I guess those guys who said the gap between the koreans and foreigners were right.
Top 16:
14 Koreans 1 French 1 American

I think the fact that so many LoL fans are upset with this decision is a testament to how serious it is as an actual e-sport. They care more for the lulz and the entertainment than the actual competitive spirit. Generally speaking of course, obviously many LoL fans agree with it too. I don't think any less than 99% of SC2 fans would agree if such an incident happened in starcraft.

Destiny and Idra, I rest my case.

Well, LoL fans never had a match-fixing scandal happen to them before, where a highly-regarded player was implicated. It took the StarCraft scene on one hell (pun intended) of a ride. So I guess they don't understand yet the implications of such an act. LoL scene may be growing but in some ways it is still 'immature'.
