So thats the reason why 2 out of 3 koreans might drop out of a group of 6 players considering Demuslim looking strong against inori? We're talking about some of the top foreigners in a group with two code b koreans and a code a korean, it's not really the most impressive feat. Sortof and Demuslim have become top foreigner recently? Nerchio is supposed to be. So if 1 out of 3 is a top foreigner it is "some"? I see.... And according to the guy I first quoted there would be 5/8 koreans in top8 against ~40 foreigners -_- We'll see how the rest of the tournament goes . Of course Koreans are better. But imo its already pretty amazing that foreigners can even compete with them. I feel like people not even being that amazed about a foreigner winning is an indication of how much more respected they are now.
I 100% agree. Winning vs Korean is a big deal no matter what. They always will be ahead of foreigners.

It's mostly based on your web search history, not just the stuff in the thread.

The group isn't over and if Nerchio beats him 2-0, Nerchio passes him.

Lol, it's the reason Koreans went 18-2 in sets versus foreigners in the Open Bracket for this tournament with the losses being PvP. TargA did not win? And now you compare some top koreans to "2nd class" foreigners. Of course koreans are ahead but it's not that foreigners can't compete with them at all. I disagree. But we'll have to wait and see, I suppose. While this tournament won't prove anything in itself, it will be interesting to see if a Korean wins this tournament, and their representation in the top 3, 5, and 8 considering they compose less than half the field in this tournament. I'm impressed by how well foreigners are doing as well, I think it's getting closer, but it's still like with table tennis and China. Maybe a few can compete at the highest level but it's still a lot more of one nation than everyone else competing at the top.

This is a pretty good assessment. European PvZ especially is a good one to look at, most foreigners either 2 base-allin, or try to take it to the lategame but execute the latter worse than Koreans. Hence players like Nerchio and Stephano are pretty robust against 2 base play, but also get a lot of experience in playing out lategame situations
