Sad the host encourages hate towards a great moba game -_-
It's cartoony and mechanically simple, thus most StarCraft fans are going to look down on it, expecting anything else is silly.
It's like BW looking down on SC2 basically. Haha, owned.
I could go into a huge argument with you guys about why you are so wrong but I figure it's not worth it because you're probably a bunch of really narrow-minded immature guys.

It ain't elitism, it's just that the games like LoL attract a lot of dislike due to the way they're designed, marketed and forced into a competitive format for marketing reasons alone. You almost never see "elitism" towards Quake, CS and other games that actually evolved a competitive scene organically without having millions of dollars dumped into it for that specific purpose. I'm not sure you have any idea what you are talking about, because LoL had a huge player base when there weren't any tournaments. It did not have "millions of dollars dumped into it," and it does not "attract a lot of dislike." Vocal dislike is not a lot of dislike. Comparing the esports scene of a decade ago (Quake, CS) with today is just pure wrong. Edit: Not a fanboy of LoL, played the for a few days, decided it was not my thing. More of a HoN guy.

But all internet communities I've ever seen have reached a boiling point where it just devolves into random hatred, flaming and whining. Trolls take over, and level-headed people who could have a positive impact give up and abandon the sinking ship. A bit off-topic though. There are still a ton of wonderful Starcraft to talk about today. I really hope to see some great performances by Nestea today ![]() It's just a problem with forums in general. I'm not sure when it is reached but there is this critical mass that gets reached when the ratio of mainstays:new users without a clue and with belligerence far outweighing their productive posting, just gets thrown way out of whack.

It was the gameplay depth and of course the awesomeness of being Star Wars that helped those games overcome the inherent problem of being set in a void Loved the back story in Tie Fighter, made me want to kill the rebel scum badly

My statement covers all the eventualities. ![]() LP has been wrong most of the time, they just didn't switch the ranks when they updated the scores, I think. Ok checked the IEM site.... They got it wrong at their site. They listed Nerchio as 5-6 in maps where he is 6-5 (based on the reps they uploaded themselves)
