EG = symbolization of U.S capitalism and not even backing it up with results... Without companies like Monster there would be no professional gaming and regardless I hope they get even more blatant about it, if possible, just so I can keep enjoying posts like these. I bet you get really angry during commercial breaks too, right? Maybe its cultural?, in the UK we don't have product placement on TV so it seems over the top but yes lets be glad that Monster sponsors exports. They just look stupid shoving down our throats to me because this is not culturally what Im used too, but if it supports this tiny industry then fine. Also no one really drinks it in the UK. It hit our shelves about 1-2 years ago and hasn't made a dent, there was also a documentary about sports and energy drinks as a whole recently on UK TV that called this stuff and many others out for being absolutely useless, go drink coconut water, better in every way and natural. But at least they realise how silly they look doing it and take the piss out of themselves!!!! 
I've only ever seen Monster in the UK in the last two months or so. I just assumed they didn't sell it here. I have tried it, cos I had never seen it or drunk it before. It was surprisingly tasty. I know an energy drink is not healthy but it makes an interesting mixer. So I have had about 8 cans (it was 2 for 2 quid) in my life.
I don't see a problem with them sponsoring a team. Football and other sports have tons of sponsors. It's no big deal and helps give money into Sports and now Esports. Advertising happens. No point stressing over it.

I assume it's just a cultural difference. In Europe such aggressive form of product placement isn't common. If anything at all, that does more harm for the company than it helps (in my opinion).
