Be fair instead and give both players who have deserved their place in the finals the same chances.... Why should everyone except the upper bracket winner be able to drop one series before being eliminated? It's called double-elimination for a reason, that everyone, including the upper bracket winner, is able to drop one series before being eliminated Like I said, that extra life would be traded for having to play less opponents. The fewer opponents you face, the lesser chance of you dropping out anyways. Every player would still have an extra life, but if it isn't used up it should be erased in the finals in favor of fairness. : ) I still don't see how it's fair that the upper bracket winner cannot lose one series while everyone else, including upper bracket final loser, could.

Your logic is entirely backwards, you could make a case that the finals should be Bo7 to provide the best possible spectacle and entertainment for the fans, but it would be at the expense of fairness, not to promote it.

That person can too, but then he/she has to play more games... it would still reward the player not losing when it's time for the finals. Playing through a lower bracket, facing more opponents and always risking elimination should earn you even footing in the finals imo.

Anyone know where to find more information about the European finals? When and where to get tickets? Also why did some countries get direct seeds into the world finals? Heard that Stephano already is qualified, does that mean he wont contend in Stockholm in September?
