Every PvZ I've seen Symbol lose to was a BIG 2 base all in. He got stomped by Squirtle in their first Ro16 set due to all ins and now this.

I'm a zerg player but still... SO well played by Brown. Ignoring the blink micro (cause it's generally pretty stellar at that level)...

Brown made a huge mistake in letting the ovie scout the shrine. That was probably unplanned. But he did an amazing job afterwards - he used the zealots/stalkers to attack the second base, forcing the roaches back and using the 4 DTs to take down the spore at the third. It was just so well-timed and organized.

Polt good luck... Brown has been practicing with MMA (according to MMA's interview).

Polt's TvP has always been waaaay better than MMA's.

Anyways, Polt better start to smash. At least beat Brown.

I don't know about the current MMA, his stepped up his TvP like a LOT recently

Last two players are probably going to be RevivaL and HyuN. They both have really good ZvP and ZvZ (No Terrans left for SlayerS).

Not every, I think all of Seed's wins against him in the ro8 were macro games.

I bet you he knew the overlord timing in and out and decided it was more valuable to have the Stalker up front since 4 DTs just annihilate a spore crawler.
Life is too short to take it seriously.

Again, RevivaL is at MLG Summer Arena.

I really wish he wasn't right now though, he would be really helpful.

And Coca lies in wait...

Yeah i was just thinking this..

TSL breaking out their big guns really early on; i don't know why you couldn't have sacced a few other zergs before Symbol to try get a few wins :\

Easy to criticize in hindsight - my guess is they would rather be up than down, regardless of where Symbol is in the lineup, he's not going to get more than one win if he can't beat the unnamed Symbol sniper (turned out to be Brown).

If they send Symbol 4th he would still have played Brown in the match after (assuming he won)

I don't think TSL prepared a sniper for Brown (for obvious reasons) - they just feel Polt's all-around play can beat Brown. But yeah, CoCa should be coming next, I would expect JYP to be saved as the Ace too.

Hopefully since Polt said he has blocked out all other things except GS(T)L, he can finally win a GSTL game. Ever since he swore off foreign tournaments and traveling, he's beaten Xtreme and Maru.

Why did the DTs do so much damage? Did Symbol not take them seriously enough?

Game 2 was some great PvZ. Loved how brown pulled away the majority of Symbols forces away with that small force of zealots and stalkers so that his DT's could just quickly run in and destroy the spore and 3rd base. Then instead of throwing away the DT's into the natural, he backed off and opted to go Archons. WP

To be fair, Ryung/Alicia would also be very helpful. Puma not so much probably since he's not known for TvZ, and hasn't been too successful on the GOM stage.

Oh wow, Polt hasn't even won a game in the GSTL since 2011 February. At least it was against a Protoss (Tester/Trickster)
