Byun would be even more crushed IMO, he was winning a large part of that game vs Symbol and his loss to San was mainly a BO loss. Hope it doesn't affect his performances on Thursday. Seed should have the mental advantage now, that's for sure. GSL ro4 is only a few days away.

Byun went for an all-in and failed, It's his fault. Right, the Bo1's can still be high quality and the better players can still win in that one game, but that doesn't change the fact that the games can go either way, and it also makes the random map choice really retarded. Yes, and an argument could be made Bo5 is even better and Bo7, Bo9... You can go on and on. But unless they only do 1 group per day, Bo3 just takes too long unless they are all cheese games. You can also argue dual tournament format could be unfair depending on who plays whom first and full round robin is better. The difference is, Bo1 allows for the randomness in the game (and maps) to come into play a lot more. A player of lower league can still beat a top player if it's just a Bo1, but going up to Bo3 decreases this chance exponentially. Where as the jump going up from Bo7 to Bo9 is negligible because there is almost no chance the lesser player will win in either of this case anyways, that's why higher BoX series is only needed when player's skill gaps get closer and closer (as in the tournament goes higher and higher). I mean yea, I agree there is always a trade-off between time and accuracy of determining the better players advancing. I just feel that the trade off is worth it for at least going up to Bo3 It doesn't decrease the chances exponentially at all. Do the maths with 60-40 for instance, the difference is actually pretty small. Bo1 is perfectly fine, and I doubt OGN will change it. pure mathematically yea it doesn't, but if you take into consideration the difference in maps, the fact that the better players usually have better mind-games in multi-set matches, and the better player has more variety of strategies (as oppose to the lesser player just all-inning in a Bo1 and hope to win), then yea, the chance for the better player to advance does increase exponentiallly

Fantasy played really bad last time and Flash was not at 100%. Whoever wins the FvF match today wins the whole OSL.

This game is just not as fun to watch as it once was :/ Welcome to the down-to-earth reality of the other two races of about a year long GomTvT. As some guy at the NASL crowd shouted about terrans - "They had it coming". Sorry, but gsl is not the only sc2 tournament. While GOm was terran-heavy, the international scene was well balanced. Now its just skewed everywhere and beyond enjoyment. Enjoy your constant pvz and the rare but severly hampered(and not what it used to be) tvz.
