They mean best player right now 'currently' not ever. DRG is playing like shit right now and I haven't seen results from MKP recently, so based on results 'recent' Taeja seems to be the best 'currently'

Even when Taeja won that game that launched Boxer into Code S, Boxer had said something about being surprised Taeja was so good. SlayerS treated him pretty badly (aka sort of ignored him) in relation to his skill level. He was sort of a TvP specialist on the team at the time of SlayerS domination, but MMA was obviously the first choice Terran and then Terran discovered that Protoss didn't know how to defend the 1/1/1 so nobody used protoss in team league.

Fionn is stating that DRG is slumping like hell lately and has been playing like shit, citing his notable losses.

I think your reply to that just made my day, after the part where Taeja is just tearing everything apart at the moment.

If he had his timings right and played a little bit better then Taeja wouldnt have had his way with him like he did. Don't get me wrong, YoDa played far from great, but Taeja just noticed pretty much every little mistake YoDa did and drilled at it. Don't feel like YoDa choked at all, he just made mistakes, mistakes most probably wouldn't be able to punish, atleast not anywhere close to the extend Taeja did(and also YoDa won the build order choice).

Yea, but Flash, Action, Crazy-hydra, Hoejja and Stats aren't as good as any Liquid players so I don't know why you would compare those two teams. If they were to play right now, even with Pro League format, KT would lose to TL.

Have you not seen him speak to the TL players after every game? he immediately leaves his seat to speak to his team and take advice / criticism from them. Do you think taeja would have won had he played from game one of the 2nd b09? sure, TL were just "cannon fodder" in your eyes but zenio took a game which everyone bet against, Hero hasnt even played, who is probably their 2nd best bet at winning this thing. They put themselves in the line of fire so taeja could get the much needed rest so he could come out and wreck faces again, his exhaustion is showing with the younghwa game. (epic micro btfw WAOW) how do you think he will fair now? theres a reason he was sent out 4th this time with Hero as backup. Teamliquid are supporting him every step of the way, wether it be inspirational support, tactics / strategy advice / cannon foddering so he can have more time to recover, whatever. Its a team effort. In all team games, you have a star player, but they cant win it alone (most of the time) - for example my FPS team has a fucking beast of a sniper, but he cant win it without the rusher calling locations, the team locking locations down, taking players out and allowing him to scout regular locations and take them out too. Alone, he would be located and fucked in the butthole, its much the same for taeja IMO. No, it's pretty much Taeja's win any way you want to put it. This isn't an FPS, it's a 1v1 RTS.
