Any thoughts on IM opener in this Bo9?

Before this match started, I called First or Yongwha as their starters, what do you think? Liquid is obviously going to be a zerg, like Sheth or Haypr0 I feel.

Sending out Seed again as opener and risking him losing to one of the Liquid zergs would be a tactical disaster I think

Probably another protoss, I'd say first he's got nice PvZ and can force taeja/hero out pretty quickly.

Yeah. that's why the scrub has only made it to the quarterfinals of the past 2 GSL's.

Yeah but he hasn't won every tournament ever has he?
Until he can go back into the past and win every GSL there has been he's a loser.

So many tears coming from you right now.... Your just jelly hes single handledly destroying the team your cheering for. He's won 2 straight tournaments and is on a tear in this team league. Get a life buddy your calling someone way fucking better than you'll ever be so go back into your terrible troll cave. He's absolutely dominating people. Get over yourself .

Wow i should really stop the TOTALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS sarcasm on here.

No there's another bo9 now. Taeja was playing from the loser's bracket.

Hopefully they can be a bit quicker about the way this second Bo9 is played.

coming from the loser bracket you need to win 2 bo9's and winning bracket needs only 1 bo9? isnt that incredibly unfair?

IM didn't drop a series, TL got a second chance. This is IM's second chance.

So, no, it's fair. Double elimination is about as fair as anything can possibly be. And bo9 adds even more to that.

Double Elimination is kind of the standard for tournaments in anything--I don't understand people not grasping the concept of "two chances." No matter, it's the format that provides the best drama while not compromising on the spirit of competition. A blind Round Robin would actually be the most fair (meaning no match manipulation to affect standings or matches that don't matter or matches that determine placing of teams other than themselves).

Yeah wow he's fucking good at the moment. But he doesn't compare to those people

Who are those people? Because the dominate players I feel are kinda just MVP, Nestea and MKP, but don't really feel they were nearly as good as Taejas has been performing. I mean Taeja is kinda just making all his opponents look silly.

Have you witnessed Mvp's reign of terror?

I did, but that wasn't really the same imo. He was just very very good and won most his games. Taeja is just massacring his opponents.

July - December 2011 is Mvp's reign of terror, and It's unquestionably the most insane streak we've ever seen in sc2, and the longest lasting one.

July - MLG Anaheim 1st
August - GSL August 1st
October - GSL October 2nd
October - Blizzcon 1st
November - Arena of Legends Team Ace Invitational 1st
November - WCG Korea Nationals 1st
November - GSL November Semi-finals
November - MLG providence 4th ( from open bracket, lost to the winner Leenock )
December - WCG Grand Finals 1st
December - Blizzard Cup Semi-finals ( losing to the winner MMA )

Getting to the semi-finals of 4 GSL's in a row is pretty much unheard of.

I think TL will send Sheth Ret or TLO out first, maybe zenio.

unless they beleive taejas ready to go for another 5 games, then theyd come back with him, but i dont think its likely

He lost to MC in a preparation league then beat him in a marathon league (asus)

Don't forget that the match vs MC in GSL was before TaeJa was beating everything everywhere, and back then his worst matchup was TvP. So don't say things which aren't true, please.

top 4 of every offline tournament he entered I believe, fucking nuts!
Taeja's play is more stylish and outwardly impressive, but Taeja's got a lot of work if he wants to match MVP's dominance.

Really? Happy's TvZ is 42.86% - Granted, he only plays Korea but Liquid can literally spam zergs at him untill he folds (very likely quite fast)

I'd go with First as well

Yeah MVP definitely had the longest reign of terror.
Plus, his competition was a lot tougher when he was owning faces left and right until his wrist went to smithereens T.T
