Well if they follow what MLG is doing, no more reps for us. *Sad Face*

Really great job from Mana, great final and great casting! Really hope DH are releasing replays.

Dreamhack production value was freaking amazing, congratulations! AWESOME stream quality, AWESOME stage/crowd seats, AWESOME camera shots, and finally, AWESOME video at the end.
And what is best, all this quality is available for free. I sincerely hope Dreamhack grows ever stronger and that this quality event become SC2 scene norm.
Congratulations!
This. Dreamhack is just ... badass. The tournament I have the fondest memories of watching was also my first: TSL3. Other than that, all of the best major events I've seen have been Dreamhacks.
Seems like awesome nice guys tend to win them all lately too: Mana, Thorzain, Hero...

Wow, just saw the result and can hardly believe it. I'm so happy for Mana!

When MVP analyzes his opponent in GSL and plays to counter him (involving bunker rushes and other kinds of cheese) everyone is like "Oh, so smart, so gosu..." When Mana does the same in DH (he specifically prepared builds against both, Stephano and Dimaga, everyone is like "boring, two base all in scrub" etc... Its just not fair to the players imo.
There are two ways how to win tournaments - either you are so good that you brute force your way through your opponents just with your playstyle (but only DRG, MKP and very few others can do this) or you play like Mana did - you prepare and you play to your opponents weakness (Nestea, MMA and MVP are all doing that)... I think he deserves respect.
btw, problem with protoss imo is, that they have the potential to create the most epic and best games of all races (Ace vs B4 in up and downs comes to mind, or Hero vs Idra in DH Valencia for example) and everyone is dissapointed that not every game is like that... Im so happy that someone noticed this. I wrote similar post and got note about "Polish fanboy". Bunch of kids support some famous names in SC2 and because of that they are really blind. There are only little group of players who can cheese, play 2base attacks and their fans write about "unique playstyle". They dont realize that even Boxer scv rushed Yellow in one of the finals sc bw tourney 3 times in a row. It is just impossible for people to agree on this topic because of completely opposite opinions. For example my own opinion is this: I am actually kind of offended when I know a player could have used some supposedly "lame" tactic but ignored it. This feels as if he does not have enough respect for the game and the opponent. I really want players to use the very best tactic possible, otherwise the game feels rigged to me and I feel cheated. It is impossible to make both me and people that are bitching about 2base timings happy without the game or map itself being balanced differently.
Macro games are great to watch, but only if they actually feel as if it was a legitimate strategy and a good choice to go for a long game. Watching a super hard 2base timing hit is just as great for me, and I also like something like that reaper opening back in the day where the Morrow killed Idra with the reapers, while still having minerals pile up and expanding and being completely safe. That reaper stuff was so strong it was bullshit, but intentionally not using it would have been shitty to watch for me.

Stephano apparently wrote, "are you okey?" or something like that to nerchio ingame, and a shitfest started in the thread between fans.

They were gonna stop last year due to "security issues" but they worked that out. See Winter Championship replays are here http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=330122
As for DH, I dont know if they are releasing replays.

In the middle of game one of Stephano vs. Nerchio, Stephano was losing to Nerchio but then (playfully? impossible to tell) taunted him with "you okay?" via chat. He pretty much said it out of nowhere. Stephano ended up winning the game, and then the thread erupted with single two word replies, responses, and posts of "you okay?" whenever anyone would say anything at all. It kind of became a temporary taunt/ meme/ "act like a jackass" post, until it was shutdown by the mods by threat of ban.

Mana is a great player, it's cool to see him finally win a big title. Still sad about HerO though.

good to see mana escaping the kong line

WOW
You know at first I was like... who are all these no namers? And lol mana and dimaga got 1st and 2nd? Were there no koreans or something?
*proceeds to see Keen, Taeja, Hero, and Naniwa knocked out*
Wow, the fans there must have been really happy to see the Koreans beat. Nice to see Mana do well after what seems to be inactivity (at least in the tournament scene). Also great to see Dimaga raping again!
Some new players that did quite well in the group stages, and fraer especially who did well not just in the groups but also got 3rd place o.o

Gz MaNa, Dimaga my all time favourite and most watched zerg. I am so sorry this couldn't be his DH and maybe Code S seed.
MaNa, richly deserved tournament win, going through the school of hard knocks in the playoffs. Hardest opponents by any comparison.
Best match of the tournament: Naniwa vs Dimaga, quarterfinals.
Best game: Naniwa vs Dimaga quarterfinals, game three. 6 stars out of five.
Honorable mentions: Too many to go through, but MorroW ZvP vs HuK on Daybreak is one everyone everywhere should see.

haha hmm always a possibility i guess!

SaSe, Naniwa and HerO all dropped out of the quarters? WOW!
Any given Sunday is guess.

Hi, will these be restreamed later or will we have to wait for the vods?
|
Keeping in mind the EG-mouz rivalry, this is pretty funny. EG picked up Thorzain from mouz after his win at DH, and mouz is like "np, we'll get another one of our players to win DH". xD
amazing start to MaNa's full-time pro career :D
|
While Mana is pretty good.... it's weird that there was no terran in the final /sarcasm
Guess that latest patch was really a great thing for the game...
Edit: I dont mean that a terran NEEDS to be in the final, but things have gotten a little crazy for them. Not even a korean terran could make it there....
