Taeja should be able to take games

I kind of disagree with sending out Zenio first when you only have two koreans available as that is very likely going to result in putting HUGE pressure on Hero. Still, guess it did get momentum on Liquid's side however briefly.

Really hope liquid can turn it around for the next one, but it gets more difficult from here on out.

I think sending Hero against Life right away was not the best idea. I think trying to snipe him with Zergs might have been better and then hope for Hero 3-kill

True though that's only 2 guys (I'll admit I forgot about Taeja too early in the mourning lol) so it's still a bleak outlook. I love liquid though in reality they just can't stack up in my opinion to the likes of STQ, SKIM, or SlayerSEG, or Prime. (Probably have half those abbreviations wrong but you all get the point lol.)

Liquid loses and suddenly the world is ending, they're bad, they need better players and all ><
They had good results this year, TLO was one map away from code A in a ZvZ, they didn't get suddenly bad because they lost to Zenex, who isn't the strongest team but is strong enough to be able to win more or less against everyone.

I doubt Life will leave ZeNEX for a while. He's good friends with several of the members and doesn't seem to communicate with other teams on Twitter.
I think it's finally time to admit it might not be the year of Pet

Though it may sound like a cop-out, not having Taeja can be a BIG deal. Sure Hero made it further in GSL this past season, but it was only his first time in, while Taeja has been rocking face in GSL for a looong time. He may not peak the way Hero does, but he's much more consistent. Surely TL will do better next time when they have their full roster.

Other than that, glad to see Zenex getting some achievements. Their players don't really go to any foreigner tournaments, so this is sort of their only stage to impress, and makes me glad Life got some good exposure.

Time to start support fnatic for a change.

They are the only foreign team with a decent chance to go at least through first groupstage.

Fnatic has like 1 foreigner on the team, they are pretty much a korean team at this point.

Still technically a foreign team, the clan is from Australia.

Also they have Foreigners, tho we prolly wont see much of them in the GSTL.

Let me keep calling ex-fOu foreign then! woooo.

Well if they do not snipe him, Hero has to play anyway and Hero has better chance of killing the rest of Zenex with Jinro in reserve than the other guys combined. That means that "wasting" the zergs on Life hoping for luck would be statistically better bet. Of course in my opinion. I do not think anyone has the hard numbers to decisively say that.

Your post seems to not take into account many variables.

1) This was their first match as a team in this setting EVER.
2) Life is a good player.
3) That's just sort of how it works in the foreigner vs. korean conflict, eh? That's why we even have the distinction, because the Koreans are generally better.
4) How would NOT competing here be good for them? They're all over there for training as well, should they also just refuse one of their chances to prove themselves and start making waves in one of the most competitive leagues in the world?
5) Liquid didn't have one of their strongest and (imo) their most consistent player.

I don't mean to say this just to be insulting, but you ignorantly look over all these points about the situation. It seems like your post was pretty knee-jerky. Sure losing like this is bad news bears, but good lord man, take it in context.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Liquid with some of those points, but I guess some people need it pointed out to them why such an outcome isn't the end of the world and they should stop "competing in an environment where allk the foreignerxs" will be defeated. Relax.
