This is all still unclear as Grubby and Kaelaris are not even sure themselfs. There seems to be no official source for this direct Global Final seed but numerous mentions during the broadcast.

Of course I am sure of the procedure

Top 1: Qualifies for Europe & Global
Top 2-4: Qualifies for Europe

Not really sure I like the Top 1 going straight to Global if that's the case. Really weird that Germany get's the 1 direct seed into the finals.

My guess is the bigger countries with larger scenes will all get 1 direct seed. I guess it does make sense since winning the national final in those countries is kind of a bigger archivement.

There's no way that's true. It makes absolutely no sense and is completely unfair. How can you qualify for global without getting through the European stage. Germany already gets 4 seeds, more than any other country (except UK). I think thats enough biased, preferential treatment.

The other reason they did this, is some people need to have something to be angry about. Because the events themselves are pretty good and hard to complain about, they made the direct qualifier spot, to make it easier to rage about something. Really nice of them.

It is true though, I'm quite sure this is based on the number of active players per country. One way or another Blizzard will be looking at their slot distribution at the end of the World Championship Series and might make adjustements if they decide to run something like this again in the future. They have always been very receptive regarding feedback from players, viewers and tournament organizers.

Indeed, would be unfair if we couldnt raise our pitchforks at blizzard for any given reason!

I am just guessing the countires with good players will get these seeds(Sweden/Germany in europe)

It is true. Teamliquid made an interview with some blizzard guy about the WCS. In the interview the blizzard guy said that the number of slots is based on the number of active players in the country. So Germany has more players than Belgium therefore Germany gets more Slots. I think it's a fair system.

Right now the only country that already had a qualifier that could've gotten a direct seed is Poland.

As Shawngood was pointing out I was referring to the possible seeds for other countries. Sorry for the confusion. You all did mention the procedure for the top 4 Germany Finals.

Overall the informationen around the Global Final seed came quite suprisingly and unless Blizzard likes to share some informations we cant be sure how this is handled in other National Finals.

Its really hard to contain creep these days and Ravens sadly suck with Bio ( and Mech isn't that great on most Maps ). I think the speed of Creep receedeing needs to be changed in the future . It takes ages for creep to go back and to constantly keep the Zerg form respreading it is pretty hard.
