Flash also had some bad tournaments due to his wrists and he's a bonjwa. but he had bad tournaments after he was bonjwa. and do you know what it took? wcg gold, 2 osl, 2 msl, proleague, proleague mvp, winners league, and being in the finals of every major tournament for a year.

I'm like you but more consistent: when my race wins I rate 5 stars and when it loses, always 1. Otherwise instead of being a bitter fanboy I'd risk enjoy what sc2 really is, and lord knows I'm too biased for that. My ratings would be: g1: 1 g2: 2 g3: 2 g4: 3 g5: 5 g6: 4 g7: 4

The guts to pull out a risky cheese in the final game of the biggest stage in SC2 is amazing and it made it very nailbitingly enjoyable :D

People are making the term more sacred than it ever was, with these standards half of the BW bonjwas would never have been labelled as such. In general people put far too meaning and weight into the term "bonjwa". It was only applied first to Savior, and then retroactively to the others. It's not that big of a deal in korea, foreigners are more obsessed with it.

Sure maybe you can't scout something and you lose to an all in. Sure maybe some newly devised strategy seems unfair and "impossible" to beat. Maybe people will call you someone that cheeses or has no skill and wins with luck, easy opponents, etc. But the best is above that and wins despite what non-believers call flaws in the game/tournament setup. They just keep winning. And it gets harder and harder for people to call good players bad on what they clearly don't understand. Congrats MVP, and good job. People kept saying SC2 is too volatile for true champions to shine like in Broodwar. MVP proves those people wrong. GSL title holders 4 MVP 3 Nestea 2 MC, MMA everyone else only has 1. The fact that MVP is such a repeat champion reinforces the fact that a skilled enough player does indeed stand out even at the top in SC2.
