Is it?

Actually, it's far more likely that he just considered Hyun a joke and wasn't trying.

Yeah he considered Hyun a joke then proceeded to lose to him 0-2. Way to go for a champion.
Seriously just stop this stupid argument.

Don't think he considers Hyun a joke as much as he severely lacks professionalism.

Naniwa is a great player, but his character is worse than Idra's IMO.

Wat? Why would Naniwa consider Hyun a joke?

I don't know how much NaNi knows about him but the last time he played in GSL, he wasn't convincing in the very least.

To be fair it is taeja we're talking about, I was reading gosugamers out of boredom and even gumiho was going on about how he thinks that there's no zerg out there who could take on taeja.

This. Seriously, be glad he didn't probe rush, because that's about how much dedication he put into this game.

His awful SC2 record and godawful series against Forsen earlier.

Naniwa just played bad.

HEY. Fuck you. That series was great.

It was a lot of fun, but not for the right reasons haha =p

Come on now, Hyun qualified for Code A in his first try after playing for less then half a year and had the bad luck to hit Taeja, a code S player first round. To say he didnt look convincing is unfair to him tbh.

Eww this interviewer acting like he had the win of his life... >_>

But okay he's trying to learn Korean and seems happy and enthused so I can forgive him.

Semmler is quickly becoming my favourite interviewer, he just looks excited to be there, which is nice to see. Plus, he's terrible at asking actual questions, which is hilarious.

Do you think there's anything in iNcontoL's theory about Nani not wanting to show builds before the playoffs?

Yeah, this is the reason I was surprised Naniwa was even going to Dreamhack, so I definitely think there is something to that.
But then again, I don't think there are zergs left in GSL if my memory serves me right?

Do you think Nani has practised his vZ in the last 2 weeks for this exact reason? Obviously that doesn't mean he should be losing games for such rookie mistakes as not putting up a pylon against run-ins. On the other hand he was all about winning DH for the Swedish fans...so I don't think Incontrol is 100% right.

Well a specie evolves based on the environment, so now he is getting a bit retarded to fit the foreign scene.

Atleast he didn't proberush. If you're gonna be angry, direct it at who ever came up with the group format. Naniwa has decided he doesn't care about meaningless games, and he's willing to take the consequenses for it. There's really nothing to discuss.

Let the mindless speculation about NaNiwa's behavior begin !

Who shall be gifted with a personal insult from the player himself ?

I'm pretty sure this was just because the argumentation that Nani & Sase has had with the DH Admins the past week. (They were having an argument that DH needed to switch to the group format GSL uses, because this system was stupid and people would just throw games like they did last DH).

I think he's just trying to prove a point -.-

What was that arument about? It would seem to me that in both system beating the weaker players would be enough to advance and you don't need to show your best builds against the good one.

Semmler has grown on me too. He really needs to ask better question, but his enthusiasm and nonstop smiling is kinda infectious...
