PokerStrategy.com brings you a showmatch of epic proportions between the ever loveable TLO and Grubby. The winner will be determined in a best-of-15 series, with only one of the two huggable nerds coming out as the champion. For your entertainment, this showmatch will be run with two personal first person streams. You will be able to follow the showmatch on the players' TwitchTV channels where they will chip in with a comment or two about the games, biting back defeat or gloating in victory.

I love that they found great guys that will take this seriously not just 6 pool half the games *cough.* Should be awesome fun from two of the most professional and likable faces in the scene. As someone who isn't as familiar with these two as with other pros, I have to still say that I'm wiggly with anticipation. Their playstyles are great for these long series, imo. With Grubby being someone who figured the game more out on his own, since he already had a great foundation of RTS skills, and TLO being super creative and willing to do just about anything, this has potential to be amazing, and only get better as more games pass. I can't wait to see what they bust out, let alone in the last couple of games. Shit this is awesome.

Great game. I think if Grubby didn't lose those 4 archons and 2 Colossus he would have been able to break the Brood Lord push, and ride out the eco advantage he got from that awesome harassment to win the game. GG from TLO though, he managed that really well.

I've been watching TLO's stream a lot lately and I have to say he's gotten really good with Zerg. High apm + good decision making + good strategy + good micro as zerg. Really impressive stuff.
Guess I shouldn't be surprised since he killed Marineking in that team league series.

He kinda fell apart from the stargate play and never managed to get a drone lead. The hydra ling was actually working quite nicely, but he didn't have the creep spread or economy to back it up.

The use of mass recall was also very clutch. Grubby playing really tightly.

Killing TLO's fourth over and over and recalling was pretty nice play, can't help but feel bad for TLO though it seemed so hard to deal with.

T-T Sad couldn't do better, but really ZvP not TLO's best matchup. I don't think he attacks early enough or prevents bases, but I am a scrub so, ; P But I know he'll figure it out! So, either way thanks TLO and Grubby!: Congrats to Grubby. Hopefully we get a rematch in the future!

I second everything you said. It is hard on a person when they know they can play better but yes congrats to Grubby! Hopefully a rematch will happen so TLO can show his true power. Chin Up TLO, just watch the reps and focus on how you can improve for DreamHack. You'll be back to smashing through opponents like we (and you) know you are capable of!! <3

You guys are both legends and some of the nicest guys around. The community is lucky to have you. I love both of you guys so much :-D.
For clarification: Grubby just sent TLO a long message on Battle.net telling him to keep at it, not to get discouraged, and not to forget that he has fans all over the world that have his back. It's not about results, it's about the game for the joy of the game.

well grubby looked absolutely amazing the past week in stream just insane multitasking unlike anything ive ever seen. I think grubby is improving very rapidly and i think he will be undisputed top 3 foreign protoss soon if he keeps improving this fast.

Unfortunately I was at the birthday party of my 11 year old nephew(DAMN YOU REAL LIFE x-D) so I could not watch 2 of the coolest guys involved in esports duking it out - but I could not agree more: KEEP AT IT, YOU ARE AWESOME!

Grubby had clear dominance in those matches, TLO played a little off. It's better those a showmatch than to lose a big tournament like IPL though. Goodluck to both in improving further ^^
