Stephano has a shot at the finals - which in this Top 8 is crazy - but the brackets have to align for him. Nestea is the master of ZvZ and facing him is bad for Stephano, though his ZvZ has improved. The critical thing though is to avoid the three TvZ snipers - MMA, Jjakji, and MKP. Polt and Alive are best to avoid as well - they know how to counter him. so if i sum up stephano has to avoid Squirtle, Nestea, MMA Jjakji, MKP, Polt and Alive ? it will be pretty hard imo ^^ | ||

His path right now goes through Bomber and one of Squirtle and Nestea - that path aligning means he faces Bomber and then Squirtle, winning both gets him into the WB finals. Then he hopes that one of Polt and Alive is who he faces there. | ||

WP R1: Squirtle < Nestea (1-2): Squirtle must have focused gstl practice on some of creator, ghostking, mkp, so no serious pvz training. Nestea has been looking beastly this tourny. Bomber < Stephano (1-2): Bomber has been preparing tvt for gstl, stephano has recently focused on zvt. Should be very close, but I think stephano can just squeeze out a victory. MKP > MMA (2-0): MMA has not looked great tvt, MKP has. Polt < Alive (1-2): Alive is pretty good tvt, and I don't really like polt's tvt that much. Should be close though. WP R2: Nestea > Stephano (2-0): I just consider Nestea better in this matchup and zvz is not really stephano's specialty. MKP > Alive (2-0): MKP seems very strong, alive not so much. WP Final: Nestea < MKP (2-3): This should be very close. Both very good. But nestea has only shown good form this tournament while mkp has proven over the last couple of months that he is amazing. LB R1: Squirtle < Bomber (1-2): Squirtle likely prepared pvt for ghostking and/or mkp. Bomber likely not focused on tvp. Despite this bomber is great tvp, squirtle is not great pvt. Should be close, but I think bomber's fundamental strengths in this matchup should give him the win. Polt > MMA (2-1): Polt seemed slightly better at tvt than mma this tournament. LB R2: Bomber > Alive (2-1): Bomber's tvt has been looking very good. Polt < Stephano (1-2): Stephano seems to have shown recently that he has overcome his hurdle vs polt. Close match, but I think this is in stephano's favor. LB R3: Bomber < Stephano (2-3) LB final: Nestea > Stephano (3-1) Grand final: MKP > Nestea (4-2) | ||
