Patches to stifle Terran dominance? When have they touched Terran's most powerful, versatile, simple, and high-synergy units? That's right, they haven't done anything to MMM. THAT would be a Terran nerf worth complaining about.

The reason top Terrans LOOK so much better is because their micro is more visible and makes their units (bio) 1000x more effective. Outside of blink stalker micro, there's really nothing in the other races that is as easily visible or effective as stutter-stepping. It's not as obvious when DRG hits every inject and star-senses all droning opportunities perfectly, but it doesn't mean he's not as good. It means he's spending his talent/effort in less visible ways.

I don't think it is a big deal, but it was at least very annoying for someone like me, who just wanted to catch as much as possible of an already overly long tournament.


Stephano could at any point have a-moved his army and gg'ed. He didn't. Who are we to judge how Stephano could have felt about MMAs BM?

From what i saw:
MMA wanted to create a show to please the crowd and stephano went with it. It was for the laughs, nothing personal.

I actually think that Stephano looked really frustrated/on edge/"broken" during the "overtime"; I don't think it was due to MMA's showoff though, rather the absurdly grueling style (hi, four-pronged attack by four-handed korean terran) he had to fight against in an already high-pressure situation.
I would say in general that there didn't seem to be bad blood, just funny bm.


Given the way Stephano talks about StarCraft 2 (it's not something he sees himself doing, he wants to go to school and become a doctor, etc) and his actions with regards to tournaments (too tired to play, goes to sleep rather than try to stay awake and play poorly) I just think he can relax and have fun once the actual decision point is reached. He'll keep fighting, but he's not going to ragequit - he's got a sense of humor.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Also, LR thread still going a day and a half after the event?

How would you rate not showing up for matches repeatedly without notifying the tournament staff or your opponent, keeping your opponent waiting for hours on end? Because that's what the guy you quoted is referring to. I'd say MMA's BM (if you would even consider it BM) was more than justified for the stunt Stephano pulled at Iron Squid.


Yeah, I think you nailed it.

What MMA did was in retaliation to Stephano's behavior in Iron Squid - where he kept delaying the match between MMA and himself and failed to show up during the scheduled time. Forgot about that stint Stephano pulled; I think the casters missed it as well.

Stephano brought it on himself in this case. No wonder MMA kept it up that long.

Well no, but I wouldn't place him that far from it, reaching the RO4 in Code S and then winning IPL4, knocking out tons of top players, I think he deserves some respect. I mean he's no MKP, MMA or MVP etc, but other than them I don't think there are too many players better than him right now.

I didn't imply that alive is bad, I meant that once you win 1 tournament people start considering you the best player in the world.

That makes sense. I already felt there was something wrong while watching that game. Thought it was for good fun, but I forgot the w.o. in the Iron Squid.
