I'm not an anti-fan, but I am very disappointed in how IPL4 is going. Its been a complete letdown. Nothing innovative. Bad execution and production.

Didn't need to proxy then build bunkers, nexus first means toss won't be aggressive for a while, he could have played a longer macro game with an expansion but he chose to finish the game early because he probably feels more comfortable with that than to play a long game. If Parting held it parting would defacto win. Its just his choice, it sucks from a toss perspective because I love seeing parting play macro games is all. Would have preferred to see him lose in a macro game if anything.

If you cant respect that and cheer for them, then you shouldnt be there. (just in general) Yeah, no, because most fans of every sport, are like me, are you telling me that 95% of fans worldwide are "bad fans"? No matter the sport, while there is big support for the "good games", there's a ton of support for local leagues, there are a ton of Soccer/football fans in Israel, and our "scene" sucks, why do we watch it? emotional connection. Watching Koreans play SC2 is like watching the matrix: reloaded, sure, the action is amazing but... what's the payoff? after a while you just stop caring because you have no emotional investment in the game, did you not just see 10 pages of people posting simply because they were excited that Stephano won?

In all honesty, this event hasn't been bad as so much as fall waaaay short of community expectations. IPL3, despite the LAN and internet problems, was pretty amazing, and we all assumed that with half a year to learn, teaming up with GSL, etc, that IPL 4 would be even better. It wasn't, and people are not happy.

It wasn't great. It wasn't bad either though. Maybe it's not the worst, but this tournament so far has been bad and I think people who watched IPL3 too can say they weren't exactly blown away either.

I feel the same way, I liked the choice and reliability of MLG weekends in the past but this makes me see MLG as a better home viewership experience. Im sure its awesome for the people in Vegas but from home I do prefer MLG. I look forward to the GSTL though :D I dont need to stay up til 4 am to watch it this time lol

It also does have far more players than SC2 by the way. People really, really need to get off Riot's back and actually praise them for what they do. If Blizzard gave anywhere near as much of a shit about eSports as Riot do (and by that I mean doing more than wheeling Rob Simpson out) then maybe these stream numbers wouldn't be so poor. wut? If you don't compare it to a game like LoL or WoW SC2's viewership is by no mean poor.

Hf watching 30 apm guys pushing 4 buttons on one unit.
