Why are the casters so biased and talking down on players who know better then they do..? Its depressing to listen to this...
Also can you keep to your schedule, stop it with these surprise matches.. cba waiting to late in the AM to MAYBE get to watch a match I want to actually see live...

Artosis will say something, and Tasteless will just repeat it, in slightly different words and louder.
Tastosis ramblings are funny, ramblings about space sharks isnt.

good matches but casting...

Just had to watch the vod, after assuming I could go to sleep as Snute wasn't going to play. And oh my god what a pathetic cast, where is Mr.Bitter? These totally biased non-analytical casters bring the whole tournament down so many levels. Snute 2-0'ing Kas is a huge(!) upset in measures of popularity and fame, so sad to see the casters being too biased to acknowledge this and instead downplay Snute's play and keep on rooting for Kas. Any good caster would be overjoyed at watching such upsets happen.
/Edit
Constructive feedback for the casters based on Snute vs Kas as it is the only one I've watched:
Pay attention to production tab which you already have open, in game2 Snute vs Kas you didn't even realize it was a 2 base roach until after they were marching. You don't give the viewer much of an impression of what the upgrades are at in game1, except for when suddenly praising Kas for being "up to speed" with his when they're both at 3/3 and Snute having Adrenal Glands almost done. Such info should come before they're both at 3/3 guys. You're obviously biased, both when it comes to the player and unit selection. You don't like ultras, I get that and neither do I. But you don't even say why they would be bad in the current situation, they're just bad. The camera, oh gee, the camera. You place your camera for ages over infestors idling somewhere and talk about stuff not having ANYTHING to do with the game at all. While you're in the replay, you don't discuss barcrafts, your grandmother, taco's and whatnot, while in the game, please talk about the game. If you can't make smalltalk about what's happening just open some random tab, discuss their APM, income, anything!
I hope the casters will see the negative feedback on these comments, because it sure as hell ain't just me complaining, and that they'll try to do better.
Hold that thought. /Edit
Totally disapointed with this tournament now. At least it can't get more downhill than it already is casterwise, gonna be such a relief when Mr.Bitter shows up.

We have to face it - not every caster is a good caster. Some casters are crap . And while we, the viewers, are annoyed by this, the real damage is done to the event and its organizers. Because tomorrow or next week when casters "A" and "B" are commenting again, some viewers may decide to skip the show, because they just don't feel like getting annoyed again.

Well, yeah, that's kind of the point. If it didn't have an effect on the event and the organizers they wouldn't care about peoples opinions.

I don't really get it. All of a sudden the results from a lot of extra matches are on Liquipedia. Was really looking forward to Ret vs Grubby, but apparently that has been done already even though there was not a word about this match in this thread? Is there a VOD available? I really want to know what happened in those games.
+ Show Spoiler +Apparently, Ret lost 2-0, which surprises me after seeing Ret's current play. Then again, he did lose to Socke in MLG. I wonder how he can crush top tier Protoss one day (Parting, Naniwa and Sase at Red Bull LAN) and lose to Socke and Grubby one week later. Though granted, Socke was on quite a bit of a tear at MLG.

This tournament is messing up big time. Part of the experience as a viewer is to tune in to the matches you want to watch. suddenly you find out they were played yesterday, even though the match was supposed to be shown the next day.
Why the heck do you have a schedule if you don't follow it. its extremely frustrating for viewers.
and seriously: stop ranting about ultralisk. I think you spent one third of Snute vs Kaz ranting about the ultralisk...please commentate the game too?
|
Well, you can tune in to the recording later. I saw the matches this morning, np. It's right there on their official stream.

Wow sick lineup hoping select will win it all.

I agree and I'm sorry. I wasn't actually aware a match was being 'snuck' in. It won't happen again.
While I understand your frustration, the reality is that scheduling matches exactly is difficult. We could have a schedule but there would be deviations and honestly you would bitch about us missing the times. We have no idea how long the matches will run because a lot are being played while the show is live showing a previous series. The best we can do is provide an order (obviously it's stupid if we deviate from that order). You can check into the stream and guesstimate how long until the next match is. We'll be casting the games we don't get to tonight by Saturday morning.
|
We've added the target schedule/order to Friday. Keep in mind, at the time of this post, the matches have not been played yet and are set to be played this afternoon/night. We will try our best to adhere to the order but we can't give times because we have no idea how long the series will go for.

Really enjoying the tournament.
It's great to be able to watch replays of any game at anytime.
I also like that there isn't tones of Koreans. Although they might still dominate, 1 upset means a non Korean could get somewhere, rather than eg MLG where you needed like 6 upsets.
|
I'm losing interest in this tournament, because I can't find the results anywhere and I'm in the inappropriate timezone to watch live. With all due respect, the organizers really need to do something about it.
EDIT: Sorry, just noticed that the results are now available.
