I don't think so, Titan, Thorzain, Grubby and Morrow, I would rate all of these higher than Nightend and Real. Will be a nice event, with some surprising results.

You sure? His teammates DBS and Phoenix are going to the Gathering so I think it's likely for him to go there to.

Not sure I like that format

My guess is that they probably planned for 4 in each group, but not all the invited players could make it. So they settled for 3 instead.

I guess it has with the 48 player format:

"The tournament will be divided into three stages. First, a group stage with sixteen groups of three players, then a second group stage with 8 groups of four players, and finally a final bracket with single eliminations."
The the two best players from each group advance to the next round.

I guess that explains the format.

I have 2 agree on that, 66% of the group advancing is a lil 2 much imo.

Edit: After reading Eplenektars post I can understand it more =)

Anybody know the races of zUP or IMBADUDE?

Also, will the BYOC fill out all the remaining spots? So, 24 spots, instead of the aforementioned 16?

Format is a bit weird, but that's simply because of there being 48 players there. In most groups the BYOC players will get knocked out and the invites and qualified players will move on I would think, so the "important" groups will be the second group stage.
