Terran can mass waaaay more supply of marines than you can of gateway units (cheap, higher mineral income per base, reactors). Marines slaughter gateway units in a "fair" fight. Your options as toss is to split them with forcefields and nullify some damage with guardian shield, or have splash (templar/colossi). Tanks make sentries effectively less than useless. You need splash and a good amount of it (or chargelots to turn their splash against them if they're not microing their tanks). Grubby was completely caught off guard by the tanks and subsequently lost. It was a build order loss, and smart play by Lucifronn after doing the same build for 4 games. | ||

He just let his macro and teching slip. he took a risk geting a 3º and double upgrade at the same time, with no charge, colo or templar, he had no time to get them. Its pretty much a build orther loss. | ||

Yeah he was caught pretty hard off guard by Luci´s unorthodox style - instead of playing it safe he went for a 3rd and let his tech and macro slip insanely hard in addition somehow. Would have loved if Grubby went for a Blink allin to punish CC first like Mana is doing from time to time successfully. Was an insanely strong 2 base push by Luci - would be interesting to know if he was able to transition out of it or just plain allin. The replay should tell. | ||
