People need to stop saying that the matches are stages !!
Even if they split the prize money there is no reason to stage matches.
Favorite players: Stephano, Mana, Polt, Lucifron, Nerchio

Well MMA vs DRG was the best high level series we've seen so far, it's hard to top that.

To be fair Jjikaji vs leenock semmed higher level, it's just that DRG vs MMA was more untertaining

Jjakaji leenock was just jjakaji getting a huge army then 1aing it into leenock while sniping the broods, and then a bunch of wonky mid/early game strats

Yeah, Jjakji is such a scrub. Couldn't play a decent TvZ to save his life.

It's Crossfire. You can't take a 3rd easily. You try and a ling runby takes out probes and possibly a Nexus as well. You need a really good wall-off, and it's not easy to do given how open the 3rd is.

he was up 2 times the army advantage, this negates any map disadvantage and he can expand anywhere

Even if the finals weren't perfect, this season of GSL has been absurdly amazing, the average game quality is suuupper high right now in Korea, which is awesome. Its no wonder a huge crowd turned out today.

How can people call this GSL finals bad, when it's been WAY better than the finals for MLG/Assembly/IEM etc.
DH Winter finals > this finals, fyi.

You mean the one with the 4rax vs Nexus first, the 3gate pressure that outright killed Puma on TDA etc?

Debatable.

Still the DH Winter finals were pretty epic.

Another bad finals.
Will there ever be a good one?

Jjakji/Leenock in November and MMA/DRG in the Blizzard Cup were both quite good.

Mvp vs Top in August and MMA vs Mvp later were decent as well.

MVP/TOP game 1 was one of the best SC2 games I've ever seen, but the rest of the series was pretty one-sided. That's why I didn't include it.

Yeah I keep looking back at MVP v TOP and game 1 as GSL's first taste of a great final, but then it descended into standard one sided-ness which made me sad (TOP fan)
Mvp - Leenock - Dongraegu - MC - Gumiho - Keen - Polt - Squirtle - Jjakji - Genius - Seed - Life - sC - Dream || LG-IM - MVP - FXO

I think people forget that Genius and DRG can't see the whole map. Viewers think it's so easy to do something because they can see the whole map. It's funny how all these people in gold are criticizing both these players.

You guys should thank Genius for doing a bunch of interesting builds instead of the same 2 base timings at every other Protoss player does.

lol why do people comment like this when you have full view of everything going on. It is easier said then done.

so true, playing the game and making a single wrong decision can cost you the game is so different from seeing everything

Now DRG got what he needed. No more accusing of KongRaeGu. The nay-sayers have been proven wrong. DRG has proven himself, and he showed when just one Zerg is left in RO8, the swarm can take it.
You don't choose to play zerg. The zerg choose you.

The ending was epic, same as MMA vs DRG. Like MMA vs DRG, most of the games were pretty one-sided.

Well mvp vs nestea at blizzcon was pretty good.

the first game of jjakji vs leenock.
One of the best if not the best tvz i ever seen.

NOOOO. Thorzain vs DRG DH Valencia, sure Thorzain isn't on MVP's level, but neither player choked horribly, and Thorzain played the series of his life.

Lol no just no...

That series had almost no mistakes, just both players deflecting each other trying to take small advantages towards the late game.

Jjakji played so amazing, sure it may not be mmaesque drops but the macro and strategy was beautiful.
