Yeah, letting it build and not mining it would have been essentially the same thing. The important part was showing 4 gas, not the 50 minerals from cancelling.

Yes. But it's wonderful to see this young game has evolved that a game can be "mapped" so clearly that a 4th gas and a late +1 means something totally different than this simple all-in. And to win because of that is beautyful.
Really, half a year ago, someone had to show you some proxy action or you had to scout a number of gates or some specific tech for you to understand his intentions. Now it's further away from the early chaos and more into organized decision making. And there is where the mind games shine. Late shuttle with reavers? God forbid...

ok. Genius not getting +1 and getting early gas was a huge fake out. DRG wasn't expecting any kind of push at all. Very complex timing attack.

This is by far the highest level PvZ / ZvP ever played by anyone. I'm sorry you're only able to see the brilliance in games that go to max armies. Or games where the Zerg's greed goes unchecked. BUT THIS IS GENIUS' YEAR!!
Albeit DRG definitely deserves it. But Genius has been in Code S for so much longer and has finally stepped his game to an incredible new level. THIS IS GSL FINALS BABYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

prolly cheering for DRG since he said we would be best toss in the world unless another toss would win GSL

Now i remember why LR threads make me want to kick something. People do realize that even if BOTH players play perfectly (and ONLY macro) someone still has to LOSE, right?

No. I know what he did, and it was just a gamble, just because artosis says something doesn't make it true. It was a bad strategy and he was betting DRG wouldn't scout/guess in time. It payed off, so GZ, but it was a bad build.

50 minerals and we're all saying not to put probes into the gas. (When you cancel you do not get 100% of the cost of a building back)
