Stephano doesnt like the GSL format since it take so long so he has turned down any invites to Code S. You have to remember Stephano play for Millinium and im sure there sponsors really want Stephano in as many foreign tournament as possible. Staying 2-3 months in Korea would mean he would have to miss alot of foreign tournaments. However I have heard he have talked about going to Korea again in April after IPL 4 so maybe he will enter GSL there. But I do think if GSL wants Stephano they need to get Bling with him also so Stephano dont get lonely
And he is also in school, just another thing to make him star out of Korea for long term.

stephano should go seoul university with polt.So he can play in GSL meanwhile studying like Polt

After Stephano lost the first game to Polt, we had the usual haters talking about how Stephano is simply outclassed by S-Class Terrans and will be stomped by Polt. After Stephano beat Polt 5-2, we had the usual haters suddenly talking about how Polt is really one of the weakest players in Code S and was probably jet-lagged. The usual tripe to denigrate Stephano and the opponents he beats. Haters gonna hate, never congratulate.
If Stephano loses to a Korean at MLG, it will be back to Stephano has now been 'worked out' by the Koreans, etc. Meanwhile Stephano overtakes Fruitdealer in accumulated Tournament Prize Money.

I think the tournament was a success. Everything worked out as planned and they were lucky to get great games.

This entire event was extremely enjoyable and entertaining. The Finals were amazing games, so dramatic with each player on the ascendency at various times in every game
Congrats to the organisers of the Tournament. First class job. 45000 people on stream can bear witness to that. The players and casters all contributed to an amazing event. It was awesome. The sponsors and giveaways and video content such as informal player interviews all added to the atmosphere and made the event so memorable. Rachel was excellent too hosting the Q&As. SOTG afterwards was just icing on the cake.
I was extremely impressed and entertained by this tournament, Congrats!
The only downside was perhaps we could have had more communication about games occuring on the other stream. Having two simultaneous streams was great for the viewers, but it would be useful to know if a match is going to start on the other stream, thus enabling an informed choice of which match to watch when matches are simultaneously played. If Mr Bitter or Rotterdam could have let us know if a game was coming up on the other stream, then this would have minimized viewers missing matches. All in all, a top class production.

Well, to be fair, He his the top foreigner in accumulated Tournament Prize Money (Over Idra, Huk, Naniwa) and by far. So yes, maybe fruit dealer is not a good reference atm but still, Stephano is the best foreigner right now.

I am thinking about doing an "A Look inside" or some name like that.. for a blog about my experiences with this event as well as how it compares (not so much about being better).. with other events. The production costs.. overall setup.. so on. The differences between events like IEM NYC to the International Video Gaming Hall of Fame event . These would all be my personal experiences with how the events ran on the back end and the costs and overhead involved in each.
After the LSC.. and the hard work that many students put into it.. the venue.. so on. I think there is a lot to be said and explained.

Those GSL Open Season prizepools were crazy. Now that GSL has 5 season per year, I wouldn't mind seeing a return to that :\

Did they ever do an SC2 FFA? I can't find the VOD if they did.

Fruitdealer is an example of how players can rise and fall within SC2. A year ago no-one had heard of Stephano but Fruitdealer had already been top of the Zergs before being displaced by Nestea.
The haters however seem to be resistant to the very notion that Stephano too is an example of how players can rise and fall within SC2. Stephano has risen very far since he emerged on the scene and yet some folks for some reason keep attempting to dismiss everything he achieves.
You yourself were bashing the likes of Zenio, Violet and Puma a few weeks ago, because Stephano has had the audacity to beat them. However you also name-checked Polt as a quality player, so I can see the difficulties you are currently having in your efforts to dismiss Stephano's achievements this weekend.
Don't worry Stephano is unlikely to win both MLG and IPL4, so you will have a chance to sneer at him for not winning 100% of his games against players you deem worthy of praise.
And you did bash FruitDealer. You attempted to belittle his achievements of winning so much Prize Money in SC2. You dismissed his achievements of IEM, by belittling his opponents. You piss all over Pro-players so much that you cannot even see how disrespectful you are being. In an effort to disrespect Stephano's achievements you also disrespect all his opponents he has overcome in these tournaments. Why not try and be positive?

Well I finally could catch up on the finals since yesterday it got way too late for me, and I have to thank everyone involved in making such an amazing event happening, the players, the casters and the crew, did an amazing job, start to finish. Also gratz to Stephano for finally making it through Polt, not only once, but twice, and in a convincing manner. Gj everyone!
