I dunno about having the final now....on a Monday afternoon in Europe, it seems like a strange timeslot. At least break until next weekend and hype it a bit, then broadcast on Friday/Saturday or Sunday. Just seemed a bit anticlimatic for Unstable to say "oh yeah, we're heading into the grand final now, back in a few seconds" and boom, its on. Maybe there was a need to get it over with considering its all done with replays though. Sick tourney nonetheless. | ||

The broadcast was supposed to happen yesterday but Raelcun fell ill, and next weekend wasnt an option so it was best of a bad situation. In regards to the shall we say "debate" on the finals. Next time we will most likely do group stage round robin into single elim. that way there is no shitty situation at the end anyway. I think that is the most fair option. Because the 2x bo5's etc can be very very difficult to go into as the LB player, and can force really bad games because they might just be along the lines of "ugh over it" that was the thought process behind our finals as while we need to keep it fair, we also wanted the best possible games for the finals aswell. | ||

I think the production values should be upped a bit, as others stated, but the invites were solid and most of the games I watched were nice enough. To me, it often feels like the players are not trying too hard, but I am afraid that is unavoidable when the GSL is around. (Or it might just be a mistaken impression on my side.) Are the players told the broadcast date beforehand, at least? With that said, all the best to FXO with the followup. Buy Wolf a better mic and I'll surely tune-in whenever possible. =P | ||
