Not going for a 1/1/1 on that imba POS map.

Its kind of like Dual Site, a map that's generally accepted as BAD.

I think the thinking, even amongst Korean pros, is that if P doesn't make any big mistakes and get to late game, they are very tough to win against.
And there aren't really any timings early and mid game that they are very weak to and they have strong 2 base timing of their own as well Their have been numerous times top Terrans in the GSL say they hope they dont face a protoss the next round, so their is a lot of evidence to support this.

Man I wish I could have watched the games, the spoilered results were killing me when I saw it went back to MMA vs Oz and Oz took another game. Go MMA!!!!!!!!!! Go Slayers!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

Irony? He's trying to get him eliminated like he did with MVP obviously.
Quoting myself from page 1.
THANKS SEEKER!

It was a great day for me as a protoss player learnt a lot

taking a 3rd in general on crossfire is hard. The map has way too many chokes and ramps, which is why 1/1/1 is so annoying because of tanks (and if you don't 1/1/1, FFs ruin your day).

I feel like Tastosis is casting the players, more than casting the games at this point. When Nestea, MVP, or a protoss is playing, they do nothing but hype them up, regardless of what is actually happening.
Yeah, I don't quite understand why they never seem to give MMA credit. In the past four or so months he's had more success than anyone else.

Nice work Artosis, 0/2 on the night.

Tastosis, mainly Artosis, seem like they aren't fans of MMA.
They constantly pick against him time and time again, ever since after the Super Tournament.

Well, in a time when Artosis was stressing the fact that mech is superior to bio, MMA comes along and destroys the world's best mech player 4-1 in the GSL finals. I wish they could try to be a bit more objective though. It's almost as annoying when Artosis goes off on Nestea being so incredible and what not. I think the Nestea think is a bit too far.

Oz
That said, no stupid cheeses or anything have been employed, just pretty good, tight builds all round.
Best play for me of this group was Puzzle's really good hold against that Supernova build. Patient, well controlled and with really good decision making.

Oh quit whining.
Artosis said during the cast " I think MMA is actually starting to pass MVP "
If that's not praise I don't know what is.

I always though maybe Artosis doesn't like his style of mixing in cheeses to catch his opponent off guard? Clearly its a winning strategy, but they seem to favor pure macro.
Then again Oz does a lot of early timings, and Supernova loves his 1/1/1s and they both get a ton of support.

Moving to the best of 3 and ro16 pool play has made the gsl so much better and group b really highlighted this

Ughh, Oz I'm so disappointed, wtf was that last 2 games? This guy is so weird man, his first game was brilliant, and the next 2 games turned into complete shit. He lost so many units for free and so many weird decision. His gameplan was the same everytime he decided to play macro.
Glad that at least Puzzle made it though, the guy played so solid. SuperNova was cheesy since the beginning vs Protoss, he just 1/1/1 the shit outta that strat so I didn't like him at all, glad that he went to code A. And MMA still really not looking good vs Protoss, but at least he's luckier than MVP yesterday b/c Oz was too bad.

That first MMA/Oz series would have been a loss with that proxy gate, but a single cheese game isn't going to send a player reeling in Code A.
