I mean, what the hell? Then the guy ends up with 13 ghosts and still more supply at the end.. I haven't seen a macro stomping of that magnitude in a long time. Anyone, please? I refuse to believe one can be soo much better at macro, what happened ?_? Hero's build is extremely greedy and meant to gain map control, so it skips standard production for a fast third and blink (I imagine it is supposed to feign 4 gate pressure). Thorzain did a standard two medivac push with stim and wiped out most of Hero's army, and from there he just got more stuff. What confuses me is that thorzain was up 15? supply when hero started building his 3rd Hero put down his twilight council extremely quickly, just after his 2nd and 3rd gates. And he cut his production severely to get a high enough probe count and the third.

Concerning the setup: why can't different leagues be different? Proleague runs a similar setup for part of the season, and it enjoys much popularity.

Why do the same format as everyone else? Because it quite obviously works... ever heard of the GSTL? that format works pretty well i've heard. And this one doesn't? All it doesn't allow for is for you to pick your opponent. Oh no. Part of the strategy of team leagues is the ability to pick your counter to an opposing player. That is why teams with perhaps less overall skill, such as Prime, can make it to the GSTL finals over teams like IM, due to better strategy and player choosing. I like that more then just lets match up some players and have at it. Sue me.

This format was used for more than five years in BW Proleague, and it's a great standard and staple format. The all-kill format (what GSTL and IPL TAC use) is a good format as well, but it doesn't allow for the kind of intense preparation the Ace match format does. They both work. If you don't like this format, then that's really just you. I prefer the Ace format. OH NO.
