I agree, it takes away some of the glamour from the team league. In BW Proleague was the most prestigious tournament, but in SC2 it seems like a fun thing on the side (though I do enjoy it far more). I think GSTL loses a lot of its clout because of all-kills and carries. So many series would have been much closer, and there would be a lot more pride on the line for the teams. If GSTL wants to be the premier team league they should switch. All Kill format does have a place though, I do enjoy it. Luckily NASTL and IPL use it though, so everyone can be happy if GSTL switches. | ||

GSTL going with other format might be a good change, although i really like the idea of player snipers. How does that play out in PL? All I know is that there's potentially an ace match where a player can make a repeat appearance, but I'm not sure if that always happens or if it has to be even. Seeing more players would be a definite pro. | ||

For GOM, I think they do intend for the GSTL to be a side-event for the up and comers of the teams to shine, since they recently removed the exposure of Code A and made it hard to get into Code S. An all-kill format is the best way for newer players to get recognized, seeing as how players like Taeja, Curious, Hack, Jjakji, Sage first received fame from getting 3-4 kills or other players like MMA/DRG coming out as the ace to take out better players like MC/MVP/NesTea. EDIT: Livestream/KPOP is up, btw! | ||
