I would give Vile a 20% chance. FXO has not looked invincible at all in these online Teamleagues. During the NASL Teamleague, FXO was forced to an ace match against Reign, which Lucky barely won 2-1 against Inori.

I do not think Vile will win, but I think Vile can win, and I hope for a Vile victory. From a business and marketing perspective, Vile has already won by qualifying for the TAC2, since it has put them right into the spotlight and has given them huge amounts of exposure as a team. If they can take 2 or 3 games (or maybe even more?) games off FXO, they would have exceeded the expectations of many in the community.

Go Vile!

Utter fanboyism. Vile has no answer for Leenock, Gumiho, Lucky, or Oz. We'll be watching sub code B players versus top level Code S.

Realistically? Not a chance in hell.

If FXO throws out Gumiho, I bet someone takes him out..

^Gumiho is currently in the ro16 for Code S January, beating out players like Leenock, Idra, and Fin. You've got to be kidding bro

No, they have no chance.

FXO have one of the absolute best players in the world in Leenock. They also have multiple Code S level players like Oz, Gumiho and Lucky and solid Code A players like Asd, TheBest and Choya.

Even Moonan is better than most players on Vile.

Vile don't even have any player you could consider top NA players, nevermind top foreigners nevermind being able to compete against Code S level players.

They are going to get flat out destroyed.

Yes... I am aware of his current success in the GSL, but if he loses, I will be the first to say "I told you so"...

Cool, you're one of those guys who makes really absurd predictions so that on the off chance you're right (when you're wrong 95% of the time) you can bump that one post and feel smart.

Leenock and Fin, huh?

If you actually watched the games, you'd know how unimpressive and mediocre Gumiho's form was. Neither Zenio nor Yugioh have good ZvT's + they played badly, and Gumiho still struggled mightily to beat them in his best matchup. There's a reason why everyone wanted to pick Gumiho in the group selections.

Edit: However, Gumiho's struggles have no bearing on FXO as a whole. They're still going to destroy Vile.

On paper, you are completely right. But sometimes things do not go according to plan. How about a little story? Half a year ago, a team called FXO, yes the very same FXO team today but without the Koreans, went to Korea to participate in the GSTL. They were all-killed repeatedly and could not put up a fight against any team. It was a very difficult time to be an FXO fan.

Their final match in the GSTL was against IM. They had no possibility of advancement at this point, as their record was 0-4. IM was one of the strongest teams in the world, having won the first GSTL and placing 2nd in another. They had players like MVP, Nestea and Losira. On paper, FXO had "not a chance in hell" and "no answer" to players like MVP, Nestea, or Losira.

But a miracle happened. One man walked into the booth for his team. He did not probe-rush. He played with everything he had. He defeated 4 players, including the 2-time GSL champion MVP.

Miracles and upsets are what make sports and competition worth watching. They do not happen often, but they can happen at any moment.

Being around these players in a daily basis, its no surprise to me the high caliber they play.
People in this thread get stuck in the mentality of Code S players which is rightly so, but i truly believe vile players
are not just one of the most unnoticed team but it has skill that suprises alot of people who dont know.

Code S players are a dime a dozen now a days and even in practice games in which i get to ob vs Code S or Code A players
Its somtimes completely one sided with a vile player taking it quite easily,
so as much as predictions here can be justified by the success of the FXO players, dont let those cloud your judgement when it comes to Vile, who is not very known compared to FXO.
As they say, dont judge the book by its cover, just because FXO are like Harry Potter books which are well known by everyone doesnt mean a book no one knows isnt better than Harry Potter :D

Aside from that, Vile is a team to be wrecking with and thats no bias.

Gogo Vile. Lets show them great games.

There are precisely 32 Code S players. FXO has 4 of them.

Vile has always struck me as a team whose players will be the best foreigners in 2 or so years time. It's like a lot of the players who started off in Empire (including a few who still are in empire) are now some of the biggest players in the foreign scene. I think the same will happen with Vile. Hopefully they take off a couple of games (I'd love one of them to take out Leenock) but I don't really see them winning.

This post was trully motivational.
