Congrats to FXO of course, but I guess it's all perception and expectations. People expected a 5-0 or 5-1, but instead FXO had to fight for their win, and were nearly forced into an ace match against a team that some people even felt did not belong in their tournament at all. Still, good job playing through the lag and everything.

I would give Vile a 20% chance. FXO has not looked invincible at all in these online Teamleagues. During the NASL Teamleague, FXO was forced to an ace match against Reign, which Lucky barely won 2-1 against Inori.

I do not think Vile will win, but I think Vile can win, and I hope for a Vile victory. From a business and marketing perspective, Vile has already won by qualifying for the TAC2, since it has put them right into the spotlight and has given them huge amounts of exposure as a team. If they can take 2 or 3 games (or maybe even more?) games off FXO, they would have exceeded the expectations of many in the community.

Go Vile!

No, they have no chance.

FXO have one of the absolute best players in the world in Leenock. They also have multiple Code S level players like Oz, Gumiho and Lucky and solid Code A players like Asd, TheBest and Choya.

Even Moonan is better than most players on Vile.

Vile don't even have any player you could consider top NA players, nevermind top foreigners nevermind being able to compete against Code S level players.

They are going to get flat out destroyed.

Utter fanboyism. Vile has no answer for Leenock, Gumiho, Lucky, or Oz. We'll be watching sub code B players versus top level Code S.

Realistically? Not a chance in hell.

If FXO throws out Gumiho, I bet someone takes him out..

Gumiho is leagues above anyone in Vile.

^Gumiho is currently in the ro16 for Code S January, beating out players like Leenock, Idra, and Fin. You've got to be kidding bro

Yes... I am aware of his current success in the GSL, but if he loses, I will be the first to say "I told you so"...

Cool, you're one of those guys who makes really absurd predictions so that on the off chance you're right (when you're wrong 95% of the time) you can bump that one post and feel smart.

Never GG. There are so many times where it looks like you've lost the game but you always manage a way to find a way back in it.

In fairness, very few could have foreseen this result. Vile has come a long way, and I am very happy at the progress that this team has made over the past few months. You fought hard and forced FXO to give it their all. Best of luck to Team Vile and finish strong!

seems like vile rested spanishiwa to snipe leenock in an ace match... looking at it how it went, it was a bad decision not to use their hands down best player
The truth is, Yagami-kun, I suspect that you may in fact be Kira.

Illusion used to be on oGs and did decently in the KSL so I'm not too surprised he got a few kills. In fact, he 2-0'd leenock.

Vile has some seriously charged players. They play and attack with vigor and eagerness. That goes a long way, but as we saw in the last match it can also lead so some nasty and regrettable losses. Team leagues are such a thrill! I think it taught a few of us that much more goes into a team league match than the pedigrees of the individuals who make up the teams. It is a competition that requires great spirit. Confidence and desire can take a player considerable lengths, especially against a certain type of Korean player that values patience and conservatism.

I have been loving the TAC (and my favorite matchups haven't even arrived yet) but I haven't been wholly satisfied with the casting. They have a very healthy rapport, so it's never hard to listen to them, but their calls are often misdirected or innacurate. Someone mentioned this earlier, and I would like to reiterate: there is much too large of a focus on supply count in the casting. Before and after every engagement (and about every three minutes otherwise) the viewer's attention is directed to the supply count as if it is the number by which we can tell who is ahead. I would urge both of the casters not to use it so readily unless there is a major or unusual discrepancy. It shouldn't come up more than two or three times in a game. We can see which army is larger. Even if you're getting into numbers, the units tab is more effective (a huge weakness of the supply count as army measurement is that it includes units in production but not out on the field.) I felt like it was a cop out tool: whenever the casters felt pressed to assess the position of each player in the game, they would refer to it. As casters you don't have to constantly assess who is ahead, but rather give context to the actions of the players, and knowing who is holding some type of absolute lead at any point is not necessary to doing that. It led to a lot of bad calls being made that were immediately proven wrong by the actions of the players. The casting really led to some confused situations for me as a viewer, the tension between wanting to believe that the casters are some type of authorities on the game while watching their predictions completely fall apart. Of course I understand that the caster is not going to be right every time, so maybe they shouldn't be constantly trying to be right and using imprecise data like supply count to back it up.

Gumiho is in ro16 but there is a reason all the players wanted to pick him. He played like shit and still got to round of 16 cause his opponents played even worse somehow. Granted, he is still good, just not really "great" and you can't use ro16 code s as saying he's really good.
