So you're saying that it's completely reasonable to forfeit a tournament over a laggy game?

Thats what Im saying.

Then your smallminded and how no idea what proffesionalism is. Aslong as the game is playable (Which it is even with lag) and players have the same circumstances (which they did). The players should play the game on even footing for the sponsor/fans/teams.
Dont even understand why you are discussing this. Sweden fanboy? (:

The game wasn't playable, did you see that last fight in Strelok vs Whitera? sure the game was over anyways but that kind of lag is not playable

You were there ? i find it hard to judge by watching from stream on how bad the lag actualy is. You blindly trust one player while not the others who did not complain on screen. Rather premature conclusion tbh.

Ok, I might have overeacted to the post, but even tho its lagging, thats just how the tournament is. As bad of a tourney they still have prizes and alot of players aren't complaining at all, And Nani just ragequitted.

Other people not ragequitting due to poor circumstances does not make it wrong that NaNi did. Also, if you are not actually there you have no way of telling "alot of players aren't complaining at all." Seriously, these are pro-gamers. Lag is pretty much the most frustrating in-game experience there is for them. Nobody is happy with it.

Dude, Strelok was timing out during the fight literally every second until the battle was over. If that doesn't clearly show that there are technical issues i dunno what to tell you.

Thats the thing, Nani is playing to be the best, of course I can't be 100% sure, but I think he sees the money as a bonus. He certainly got rage issues. But in cases like this, I believe it is a good move, putting your foot down to make the organisers feel more pressure to make sure they have the right equipment and sort out problems fast. Compared to MLG or Dreamhack, ESL just feels "cheap" with lag/technical issues and delays.

I know you will probably call me a fanboy, but please just consider that I might not be biased .

If the tournament has a 21k dollar prizepool it shouldn't be played if the lag is unbearable. You have no idea that others are not complaining. You've only heard that Naniwa did. In my opinion Naniwa acted like shit, but I can still understand him. The players got to stand up to tournaments when they are forcing you to play under unplayable circumstances.

EDIT:
To ^ read below

Yes but there is other ways of "Setting your foot down". Instead of ragequitting then forfeiting he could have been more productive, or set a ultimatum. Thats all I'm saying

This is where we begin. Show your true self, Battosai.

Why ofcourse
I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

A small suggestion, you can look at Take's stream, he is showing interviews of the players from Homestory Cup 4, if you've missed any of those, or are into stuff like that, take a look.

Oh and now its a recording of MC and MKP.
