Flo goes go third CC Aphrodite takes quick third. Aphrodite goes to blue flame hellion drop. Flo out on map. Flo loses 7 SCVs and forgets to push with her force that's out on the map. | ||

Drops units on tanks and takes them out. Does damage to Aphrodite's natural and retreats. Flo takes forth. -- Both going for drops. Flo holds Aphrodite's drop. Aphrodite drops Flo's third and takes out some SCVs. Flo's drop takes place in Aphrodite's main and attack's Aphrodite's third. -- Flo slight supply and eco lead. -- Current Compositions: Flo: Marauder Medivac with a Dash of Vikings Aphrodite: Viking tanks. -- Flo prepares drop, but aphrodite sees it with own medivac. -- Aphrodite sends vikings and kill three full medivacs. -- Aphrodite pushes. | ||

I meant that in terms of moletrap watches a lot of high end starcraft and maybe navi doesnt so its up to him to explain why 'turtling' is the only way to play mech vs bio. | ||

Seriously, I wish we could have seen her at more minor tournaments to see how well she fares against other progamers. It would have been cool to see her at + Show Spoiler + the ONOG invite. | ||

Aphrodite should get some credit, she definitely has good macro and micro, plus her decision making is great, especially for someone that hasn't ever played an RTS until a couple of months ago. She's definitely got potential to get far and she's still pretty young. | ||

She had a small lead at some portions of the games she played, and she should have probably won that proxy-marauder game but it looks like she forgot concussive? Or just didn't micro well enough that game either. I think the problem is she just did not know how to handle Mech-play to well later on in the game. Besides that... Aphrodite is good. Her mech play is not bad at all, as one can expect when you have Rainbow/ST to learn from :o. | ||

I agree with you that perhaps she can become better in time... and that Aphrodite did play well given the circumstances but there is still lots of questionable decision making in flos play against mech. Usually against mech its important to get a strong concave and to catch the tanks unsieged by any means necessary. This usually includes flanking or just pulling back in and out to delay the push. The game on Shattered temple showed that she mostly just attacks... dies, backs off and as a result cant stop the mech train from getting to her base. I thought she definitely needed improved maneuverability in that regard. Another thing is to split up some of the units instead of having the one bio ball so that she can get a surround more efficiently...even to catch some of the back tanks as it is sieging up. These are things bio have to do against mech to be even remotely successful and we just did not see that at all. The game with the three dropship drops were also questionnable. Moletrap was saying how they did a lot of damage (derp moletrap and your finite wisdom) but in all honesty that did not do a lot given the loss of three dropships worth of units along with the dropships themselves. The second attempt also showed she has lapses in concentration... forgetting where the dropships were and not moving them until they get sniped. Even so... was there even an advantage to using three dropships at one area? Why not two in the main and one at the natural... or even so one on each base (though for the third the drop has to edge away from the defensive tanks). Once again it just emphasizes she has a long long way to go before she can even have a chance in competing at a high level. | ||
