i like this thread alot more actually. Sure there aint any GSL Themes or stuff like that.

But its clean. I can only speak for myself, but i sit at work and spend like 10-15min every hour checking the LR thread. I just want to find the info. So for me this is Perfect and Clean.

I understand what OP wanted to do when he made this thread.
Wasn't a direct confrontation to Seeker. He wanted to show everybody a new layout so people could judge it. I don't think he was trying to "take Seekers place", since he said he wouldn't be able to update the thread often.
I, personally, think the OP layout is way better than Seekers.
And I guess Seeker is overreacting to what people said about his layout. There will always be people who don't like the stuff you make. A layout thing is about taste, it will never be a unanimous preference.
No need to get angry because people never told you they had a problem with your layout. Just get over it. Like KiNGxXx said, man... it's not your job, it's not your thread. Just calm down. :\

I personally prefer this format. It's clean and contains the needed information without being in your face about it. Nothing against Seeker at all, I don't think Seeker should feel offended in the slightest, but it's definitely true that Seekers LR threads have an aspect of clusterfuckness to them.

It's like formating your computer. You added tons of awesome shit to it but eventually it become clumped. By clearing it out and looking at what you really need, you optimize.

Personally I like your LR threads and think you do a great job. Could they be cleaner? Probably, but I am always at work when GSL happens and I use your thread to keep updated. I have never had a problem finding the results, the polls or the LR links, which are all I really need. Sometimes the pictures bit is amusing, sometimes I think it's just silly, but I don't really care when it's silly as long as I don't have to hunt too long for the stuff I'm looking for.

Don't get me wrong, OP: this thread layout would serve me just as well. However, Seeker, imho, is doing a great job of it and I feel that, as long as he's the one doing it, he's the one who gets to design the thread. He can't (ever) please everybody, but the most important thing is that Seeker is putting in a lot of effort to do it and he should keep it fun for himself. If something like this stops being fun, you stop doing it and then we'll be stuck without a LR thread. If adding in funny pictures of the casters keeps it amusing for Seeker I am all for it. Especially as it's all of 1/2 a second work to scroll past it to the informative part of the thread.

It's not a huge deal but I prefer this layout.

One thing I really don't like is the fact that there are a group of people who feel they have. . .ownership of LR threads. This is simply not the case. LR threads are part of TL and have been around long before most of us have posted here. Still, I have a lot of appreciation for people who put in effort on these things.

By the way, on the maps list for GSL (at least in the current format) it should be TBD, not TBA. There's a difference between a map not having been announced - i.e. set map list but the tournament organiser hasn't released it to the public - and a map not having been decided - i.e. it's chosen by a player on the day.

I too prefer the layout now that i'm retiring from GSL viewing. The threads were becoming a parody of themselves. You could say they jumped the shark. Less is more.
