Stephano all-ined Illusion the last 2 games, it would have been all in fest against Kas anyway, I don't think we missed a great match.

Would just be fun if Kas forfeit or fall asleep before he plays.

wow fuck you stephano

Sure, 2 AM in France, super tired, played all day and playing from the same amount of money he does in the same streaming period, of course it's not nice for viewers but it's understandable. It's totally in his right to give Kas the win, and admins do have the right to find another solution so viewers are happy. Of course, it's sad because you don't see more Stephano games, but it's noone fault here

Not it´s not understandable. If you know the schedule beforehand and you agree, well you should play it out. It´s not like it was his first tournament and had no idea how long it could go.
Also, he punched his fans, his viewers and the organizers in the face.

Worth noting that it's an hour later than that in Ukraine, it's not like Kas is any better off in that regard.

Still within his rights, but disappointing.

Sad that Stephano did not learn from the Naniwa incident at the GSL.

Apples and oranges

Nope.
Naniwa then and Stephano now showed an astounding lack of maturity.
It's all about players not understanding their obligations towards the people that raise the large sums of money they get paid.

Just for those blaming Stephano here's a repost from earlier:

Hey everyone, I'm the President of ONOG. I just wanted to clear up the air regarding Stephano's and Illusion's match.

The problem is not with Stephano but with us. After SCAN finished, Stephano asked if he could take a break and get some food. We told him he could. This caused him to late. Since One Nation of Gamers gave Stephano the green light, we couldn't -in fairness- disqualify him.

We shouldn't have told Stephano it was alright without, at least, asking vileIllusion's permission.

We apologize to vileIllusion, Team Vile and to the community. We will try to do better in our second Invitational.

Best,
Deric Ortiz
President of One Nation of Gamers

I think I'll take a note from Stephano and go to bed also, i'll wake up tomorrow and check liquipedia and hope Kas destroys whoever he's up against for being invited to something where he won't finish playing until 4AM and they make up rules on the spot including docking players $600 that they had earned

Im not really the least bit upset, never have and never will be a fan of him. Kinda strange that so many people are considering how childish dude has proven to be.

Tournament was delayed waiting for.... Stephano

That was a fault in itself. Tournament organizer should never have given him the courtesy. He's just a player among many after all.

Yup. Stephano should not have delayed the tournament if he wanted to go to sleep earlier.

I was looking forward to see Stephano win two tournaments in one night... Sad it turned out like this.
Ah well, this way I'll be able to get some extra sleep as well.

And it was pretty obvious in his games against Illusion that he must be pretty tired. I can understand that he's exhausted after playing for so many hours. Still.... his decision and the way it went down is a bit questionable.

You say he makes $1500usd for playing 5~9 games when streaming?
Doesn't seem right to me.

I was actually referring to the 750$ difference between 1st and 2nd place (posted before I knew he would be downranked), and yeah, considering 5 9 games is 2 / 3 hours, it is probably not that far.

While this is probably true, the tournament organizers are paying the players to play the games, it does not matter if they play for wins or kicks, just that they play. However, Stephano chose neither, which means he is not right in this question since he did not fulfill what was expected of him, simple business.
