Let's have a nice clean LR thread folks! Beware that moderation will probably be stricter than usual, balance whine, player bashing and trolling will not be tolerated!

Idra/Nestea is like that episode in Naruto where Naruto and Sasuke slam their powerful attacks into each other and the force warps them into some kind of psychic dimension while time stops in the real world.

Idra and Nestea play in the same meta-metagame, and it was so goddamn beautiful last time.. prepare for the highest level Muta v Muta macro game we've ever seen. (i hope.)

Quote me being dead wrong.

I wouldn't go far to say these things. IdrA all inned one of the safest builds in ZvZ blindly, banking on a 15 hatch by nestea. That didn't happen. Then IdrA opened a hatch first in a map with no ramp. A very risky move, and Nestea punished it with his "blind" build.

In my opinion when you do some sort of early hatch in ZvZ you need to scout early. Anyways I put both losses on Idra's fault since they were kind of risky and relied on a lot of luck based things. I don't think these games are a measure of skill but it shows that Nestea read IdrA's gameplay very well.

Can someone tell me why MVP is considered the best player in SC2 history when Nestea has won like 2 championships??

Game 1 -> IdrA: Nestea usually opens hatch first. OOPS he didn't. I guess I lose.

Game 2 -> Nestea: This is Grack. He doesn't cheese twice in a row. He will hatch first. I open speedling + baneling. He'll give up.

A better Zerg would've chosen strategies with better follow-ups should something go wrong.

Nestea's builds both games were safer than IdrA's - they might have put him behind if IdrA went the right strategy, but they would not have auto-lost.

This. People talking about bo losses are silly... NesTea just outsmarted him.

2 straight build order losses
Poor play lost him both games.

What are you talking about? Neither side made any major mistakes at all. Game one was a straight build order loss (14/14 should hold that build every time, hatch first or 9pool can't hold it at all). Game two was Idra again playing a really risky macro build and Nestea doing a counter build and not fucking up.

Idra's micro and control in game 2 was a lot worse than Nestea's. I felt Idra was in a good position at certain points but Nestea just made right decision after right decision where as Idra (as usual) was completely lost in a weird/funky game. Nestea knew exactly what to do in that game all the way through, Idra didn't.

Micro never came into the equation when Idra's speed wasn't even close to finishing before his hatch went down. Then the attack from Nestea came before Idra had any banes and just the one spine crawler

So why did he only have one spine and no banes? Decision making? Yeah, that's part of being skilled.

No amount of skill can make a banes nest suddenly appear when you go hatch first

IdrA getting absolutely destroyed... The elephant in the room.

It's the nerves that are getting him off. Do you guys realize how much pressure Idra has to perform well? I'm not defending him, but that's the way it is.

Except, the guy gets no nerves, and doesnt give a shit what most people think. I think he just needs to work on the early game zvz a little :/.

I guess that's the difference behind the difference.

I think Idra got outplayed both games. He lets his lings get scouted at the top, didn't make enough banelings.

In the 2nd game his queen was supply blocked at the 2nd hatch and he didn't move the spine forward to the natural or make a 2nd spine.

Nestea is at another level from Idra.
