Desrow strikes me as a type of guy that is willing to go through pain, humiliation and defeat just so he could get better. No offense, but he is not the greatest player by far, nevertheless I am impressed by how he is willing to go to Korea to train, as well as put himself in these showmatches against heavily favored opponents. As the saying goes, "What does not kill you only makes you stronger"
TSL Revival should win 3-0 or possibly 3-1.

Revivals better than Golden. I don't know why Desrow is playing so many show matches against players so much better than him. If he wants to lose, cool, but I don't see his logic in making it so public and with so much on the line.

revival's mods were asking details from desrow so they can help desrow setup showmatch with revival, but desrow just said the mods were worthless and that they're "dumbass" (exact word) and to just shut up.
desrow kept spamming revival's chatroom what his skype was, revival obviously doesn't know who desrow is, and so he had no reason to acknowledge desrow's spamming.
revival's mods kept 10 minute banning desrow because he was literally being a douche. if it were any other dude, it'd already have been a permaban lol.
one of revival's mods eventually talked with revival to give desrow his skype because it's easy $$ for him.

I don't even think that these small series have any practice meaning towards DesRow (even the replays - IF THAT - give a very limited amount of help), and so on... It's basically free money to other players, since he keeps getting better and better players to face him before getting REALLY better himself... I'm sorry, but with small analysis you can clearly tell this is completely stupid...

The people who say it's going to be one-sided do have a point, but then again would most of you have the balls to challenge someone of that caliber to a public showmatch with everybody watching and trash talking? Probably not, so they should probably save their breath and respect the guy.

Why is the poll so close between these two? Seriously, revival is a beast and it will be an easy 3-0. Desrow, rethink your opponents not only so its a good SHOWmatch, but also because the koreans on your level could use the money.

Most of the feedback stems from personal dislike towards you rather than how you pick your opponents. These people think you don't deserve to be in the position you are, so they use these showmatch threads to vent. It also doesn't help that you are perceived as quite bm, there is little reason to think highly of you for them (yet).

Sooo not true. I would love to see Desrow vs someone his level. Showmatches in general are awesome. I also have no problem at all with Desrow, he's a funny guy. But I'm not going to watch Desrow vs Revival. It's a waste of time when I can almost guarantee the outcome. I would LOVE to have Desrow win(that would be insaneee) but it's not going to happen.

thats not called "having the balls" to do something, its called "stupidity" or ignorance. I respect the idea of challenging a bigger and better opponent than yourself but sometimes there's a limit to that. Imagine a lightweight fighter struggling in his own division then suddenly an idea of challenging a champ in a heavy weight division came up to him. I am sure it takes some balls to do it, but is it a smart choice?
despite all that being said if desrow manages to win against revival, i will shit brix.

I'll give a rundown of how the series is gonna go: revival will do the naniwa six-worker-rush build two games in a row and start 0-2 to make it a little more even. Then the next 3 games he'll go 1. mass queens 2. proxy hatch 3. 1 base ultra and he will win the series.

I think it's nice that Desrow and Maxfrag support these Korean players who don't get enough love. TSL people especially need some extra money so, it's all great that Desrow is being so generous and giving it away for free

Hahaha, wow. I was one of the mods in Revival's chat that was trying to help him out, but he was just being an asshole to us. He even called me a dumbass at some point among other things, and in general was very rude when I was only asking him for information about the showmatch so that I could pass it on to Revival. He never understood that Revival doesn't know who he is and that simply demanding his Skype wouldn't get him anywhere.

Man, I used to feel kinda sorry for Desrow for putting his ass on the line but getting owned (see the matches against Golden), but after reading this thread it seems I can reserve my sympathies for players who deserve it.

I respect desRow and all for working so hard, but I really don't think that playing people of this quality means much. I don't see how he can beat Revival, as Revival is one of the best Zergs in the world.

all 3 games desrow shown no understanding of how to use the build he's copying from the koreans. The 3rd game was even worse, how did you come to believe zealot/phoenix is the answer to muta/lings at revival's level, how much of a simpleton do you take revival for? Think a little man, do some research on what revival likes to do, watch his stream more, to learn how he would react to whatever opening build order you have in mind, and then you adapt to what he is likely going to do.
Do you have any idea how you lost those games? the koreans aren't better at starcraft by birth right, they actually have to use their brain to achieve this dominance we see.

I think you should practice harder, maybe get to GM, then start to do showmatches.
You got to Korea like a couple weeks ago. Everybody says that theres no bad publicity, but this only makes you look bad.
Im not even saying you are a bad player or anything like that. People wanna watch showmatches, not one sided games. So, imo, you should take your time, continue practicing, then try to win against some Koreans. Im not a fan or hater. But you have my respect for leaving everything behind and pursuing your dream. Improve your game, and then do this so at least there's a fight. This is like watching a GM player crush a platinum player. Nobody enjoys watching that.

This definitely, coming on your own dime (correct me if im wrong), I think this is a great opportunity to focus on training than showmatches.

I appreciate the honest feedback but... there's one thing I wanted to do with this showmatch and it was a pre game statement. People in both threads have been shitting on me and I don't really mind it because I picked those matchs to improve at the game, not to win. My PvZ on KR ladder is at 38%. Next week, I will find a protoss since it's my best matchup at 58%. The reason I didn't do pre game statement when I posted the thread is because I couldn't explain to revival even with google translate what a pre game statement was :D Thanks for watching!!!

He used to have the best PvP months ago, when only 4 gate was used. With the modern PvP, he's just the average guy...just think at his Sets today against Oz (4 gate-proxy gates)
