Poor Tzain but it seems he needs to reevaluate his TvZ. Well statisticly I think tvz is Zerg favoured and quite alot zerg favoured in europe because the race is easyer to play at this level overall. But this is teamliquid so people whine about everything and especialy terran, its hard to tell whats balanced and whats not
Dont think imbalance played a role here though, stephano is playing better atm.

It was Alive tore that ling-only style apart at IPL3 with a marine/tank elevator wasn't it?

B R ? Build roaches ?
I feel i'm missing something.

what did stephano say "be a" ?

Last time they fought in the MSI pro cup, that chat was like this :
Stephano : Hi Thorzain, best terran in Europe ! Thorzain : Hi Stephano...Zerg.

GG Steph playing so well. Don´t worry T has the Koreans repping them and repping them good. E: Wasn´t the last Foreign T notable win TSL3? I don´t remember a foreign T champion from any notable tourney wow
Depends on what you count as notable.
If you count this one, Kas won the TwitchTV Invitational on christmas eve.

He won 10k for first and it had an amazingly stacked line up.
I guess major tournaments are only IPL3, MLG's since Columbus (even if the IPL quali he won had more money than a normal MLG), and the GSL?

Pretty sure Stephano said S+R not B and R

Poor Tzain but it seems he needs to reevaluate his TvZ. It looks great when you play against him like he's going muta/ling/bane. It looks pretty terrible when you adjust and play like Boxer, Alive and MVP did.
That's a pretty good point. I don't want to diminish Stephano's skill by one bit (I feel he has one of the best game sense atm, including koreans) but Thorzain doesn't use the best choices here, maybe because they aren't suited to his own style. It gives the impression Stephano is outclassing him totally. But for the moment, I just saw extremely good decision of opening and follow up, and even judgment of situation, by Stephano, while Thorzain only plays his famous cautious style, with too slight adjusment here and there.

Yes stephano tryed his ling only style vs Alive and he never done it again. Sicne alive took it apart. He does it against Kas still however and Kas dont like it hehe

Polt has also beaten Stephano several times with clever timing pushes and aggressive tech openings -----> standard macro play.

You just can't hold it against him, he's such a breath of fresh air from the other more defensive Zerg styles. True, true, although his vP is some of the most defensive, turtling styles I've seen and makes for bad games, but his vT is often super-aggressive

I'd say MLG, GSL, Dreamhack, IPL3, Assembly, Homestory, WCG are the major tournaments.

Yes you can. As long as the potential to play better is still there of course you can.

Defiantly a major tournament when you considered the cash price and the players there. SlayersRyung and some other koreans+ sase,grubby,white-ra,Thorzain and many others.
If thats not a major tournament then i dont know what is.

Homestory had the same amount of viewers as this with less prize money?
