No offense but there is only one major tounament GSL. All the others are minor leagues w/o the best players all in one place.

SlayersRyung and some other koreans+ sase,grubby,white-ra,Thorzain and many others. If thats not a major tournament then i dont know what is. It's not a major tournament for the same reason the Battle for Berlin wasn't a major tournament. One Code S Korean, One Code B Korean and a handful of Europeans. Not a major tournament.

But this is teamliquid so people whine about everything and especialy terran, its hard to tell whats balanced and whats not Dont think imbalance played a role here though, stephano is playing better atm. Yeah of course this has nothing to do with balance. The better player(at the moment) is winning dunno about statistics but overall I feel that the better player wins the MU

They would just not be as competitive as the tournaments with the Koreans. So it's a matter of prestige rather than respectability.

On his stream he talked about how he feels he is a class below Stephano as a player, even though he is one of the best foreign Terrans. It certainly doesn't feel like the normal Thorzain, at least not in this last game. Kind of forcing the MVP marine tank push.

To be truly respected you definitely need some Koreans, but if you have nearly every top non Korean like Assembly did then you can come close.
